Thats the best h'n's after Diablo 2... cell shading which is not getting older past years, fun gameplay where you are just killing, and killing monsters, endless play by infinity dungeon, really hard hard mode, mod support and We're waiting for second part of this magic game of Diablo creators.

They make this genre of games and they will be the best in this genre, no matter what.

From my experience I have to agree with quasarballz. I can't say I'm a fan of the hack and slash genre at all.
I love Roguelikes and cRPGs but I find Hack and Slashes akin to a singleplayer mmorpg with no depth or anything much at all save boring griding off pallette swapped monsters.

I didn't play Diablo 2 untill ages after it's release and I decided to try it out since I heard it was such a classic. Didn't enjoy it at all. Boring gameplay, samey environments, shallow storyline, no characterisation, no interesting quests, tons of garbage loot to sort through after battles, button mashing combat with little depth.

Seriously did I do something wrong? Was I playing it wrong? Am I meant to play it with friends like a MMORPG? I know different strokes for different blokes and such but I just can't see what there is to enjoy in the hack and slash genre.

Torchlight was the first and will be the last videogame a youtube partner (TotalBiscuit) will ever convince me to buy.

If you don't like the game, then don't come into a thread intended for people who do like the game, just to tell them you don't like it. Certainly not every game appeals to every person. I myself love the Diablo style games and this is a great one to hold me over until Diablo 3 finally comes out.
