So i came upon this mail this morning, its pretty obvious that this is not the real Steam Support
Not only does it have multiple spelling errors, it even looks unprofessional

so i created this topic to bring to light of this possible credit card scam and to see if any of you guys encountered this before

I think you can report his email which he used to send this. Maybe he is not smart and used his Steam acc email... :-)

Thank you for giveaways too :-)

Yeah, the wording seems very unprofessional for any real email address, especially if it's something this important.

Thanks for the giveaways and hope your dev carrier goes well!

Scam's, Scam's everywhere

This is so sloppy it's disappointing. Still, it's better than a well-thought out scam people might actually fall for, I suppose.

Thanks for the giveaways and for sharing this!

its funny how 9 out of 10 scammers are fucking retarded. or most likely crackheads. crackheads that think people fall for dumb shit just like they do on crack.

I do not know what is more sad. Their attempts or the people they actually hook with these.

Valve would never send you a message in this sort of manner. If there was a problem with your credit card, and it did not pop up right away. ( IE it somehow let you buy the game(s) or item(s) regardless ) High chance the game(s) or item(s) bought with the card at those times would be removed and either the card or account flagged. As it would be considered a possible stolen credit card or fraud.

Not to mention the other issues with these sort of scam attempts lol.

It seems legit to me. I suggest you send them all your money so they can inspect it and make sure it's not stolen.
