Your puzzle was equally hard IMO but the walktrough helped a lot

I loved your challenge Peach. At least you actually provided all the tools (though subtly) needed to solve the puzzle instead of writing some riddle or a bunch of letters and numbers (what were those anyway?!) and you also provided a solution at the end. Kudos!

Private giveaways were always going on without the public noticing. At least this time more people get a chance to participate.

Wait, so you mean people are creating giveaways, but saying "You can't win unless you figure out how many fingers I'm holding up"?
That's not how the site works. If you enter, and the randomizer picks you, you win.
Otherwise, what's to stop the random winner from declaring the giveaway as never received? I wouldn't want to risk my trust percentage on something like that.
I have nothing against puzzles in general, I just think that they shouldn't be part of the site, or at least have a separate category for them, but that'd require a lot of coding to integrate into the website, and a whole new backend on handling "who wins".
Yeah... not really worth it.

I just find it funny that on one hand, people are demonized for requiring that the person entering the game have a verifiable desire for the game, or genuine sense of gratitude...But then people can make an obscure puzzle required to enter, and they're "trendy" and fresh. Fudge all that, mother fudgers.

There's a rather large difference. The first type you mentioned are public giveaways with an extra requirement when you've already entered (or even won). The puzzles are private giveaways. And there's no extra requirement when you've found it. When you've won, you've won.

Is it just me, or should these "puzzle" giveaways be the exception rather than the rule? Over the last few days the active giveaways have been shrinking further and further, and the majority of them tend to be Humble Bundles, in addition to Portal and Half-Life 2, so I can only assume that a fair number of them are being put into these puzzle giveaways.
While the whole idea of working through a puzzle to get a reward is nice, it feels as if it kinda goes against the point of the site if these become popular, as they seem to be doing. In a way it feels as if it's starting too form a sort of 'clique', considering the small niche the puzzles seemed to be aimed at, but I may be wrong.
Hell, this whole post is likely some fatigue-induced delusion that puzzles are slowly taking over the world and trying to steal my identity and use it in an attempt to rule the world. In vain, of course, since puzzles masquerading as me wouldn't get very far in the world, now would they?
P.S. If you're wondering, this isn't entirely serious. I just like typing to myself sometimes. It's similar to the condition of people who like to hear their own voice.
