I just created an account and it didn't really explain to me how this works. I understand that people giveaway games and you spend (p) for an entry but how do you get p? I use GameMiner is it timed like that? It told me how much money on steam I have spent, does that affect it? ($171) Reply would be appreciated

Pretty much this. If that raises questions, ask them. But why recreate the wheel if the there is already such a nice explanation page. :)

You get points when people make more giveaways and it caps at 300 points. I don't know how GameMiner works so I don't know what you mean about it being timed but your points never expire or anything. The amount of money you've spent on Steam does not affect your points or chances of winning either.

Thanks, that's really cool how it works. GameMiner gives you a coal (pretty much a point) every hour and most games are around 1-15 coal, with some being higher. This seems a lot better than GameMiner but there are less people on GameMiner so you get higher chances, so I will continue doing both. Thanks for the reply! I didn't understand

You get points back as people make giveaways. I think it is something like 5% of the value of a giveaway made is given to everyone whenever the giveaways are created.

The value on Steam thing doesn't affect anything for you from now on. It is only to stop people using lots of accounts, as you need $100 worth of games that haven't been in bundles to be able to use the site. Since you've got a value of $171 you're fine.
