Aha, so this means no more sending someone a $20 wallet code when they win a $5 game... :) It's not perfect, but it's a start... :)

That's a useful change and maybe later they will make a custom amount possible as for now choices are 5, 10 and 25 only.

The custom amount trick that can be used when purchasing Steam wallet seems to be working here as well. You just need to edit the javascript with the amount you want.

I didn't know that, but editing that Steam file is that allowed by Valve?

I don't think this is officially allowed it, but it's been going on for years and they haven't done anything to prevent it.

Heck, it's even part of Enhanced Steam's additions.

Regarding the amount: The selection is done by Javascript. Shouldn't it be possible to use the workaround by using the console again?

Edit: I've just tested it. While you're able to submit other amounts by using Javascript, the payment can't be initialized later on.

Perfect. I've been meaning to get a steam gift card for a cousin who has been a total boss by giving me a weekly ride for grocery shopping for years now. He refuses usual gifts, but if I do it this way he has even less excuse. Just one click and it's all over buddy, you can do it~

Does anybody know if Steam taxes you on these purchases of digital cards? Because I know retailers don't tax you on the cards.

Someone from Australia got me a $5 card, i received 4.25 euro.

https://www.wisselkoers.nl/calculator shows 4,29 so a bit more went off.
