If you haven't tried it, Aura Kingdom has been pretty fun for me. I know it's a matter of opinion as you like something or don't. They offer few classes such as Melee, Ranged, and Magic. Melee consists of Guardian, Ravager, Duelist, Brawler, and Katar. Ranged has Grenadier, Gunslinger, and Ranger. Lastly Magic has Sorcerer, Wizard, and Bard. The Tachi(Katana) and Necromancer had been released in the Taiwan version which I plan to go for the Necro when released in the English game. Right now I'm trying the Battle Bow(Ranger) along with the second class being a Bard.
I've tried almost all the classes and love the differences, you can also get partner Eidolon along with mounts and costumes(Hats, Face, Head, Back, and weapon appearance) It does have quests to complete at certain levels but it also requires Grinding from Dungeons/Monsters and or Daily Quests(Fame Board allows the Guild to lvl up and get you points to spend in the Guild Hall's Merchant seller if you chose to join/find a Guild) They did add a Fishing feature which gives you items for higher fishing equips, or exp(I don't fish much so I'm no expert) There's a lot to continue saying about what it features and it's potential for the future. It is F2P but through effort allows you to get items you don't have to buy mostly everything is droppable or you can buy from other cash players otherwise you can buy whatever it is you need from the Item Mall(You can also get achievements done which in turn give Loyalty points which you can also spend in the Item Mall)
I know it's long but I hope it helps in someway at all, I'm sure you can find something you'll enjoy playing!

I just started playing this a weekish ago but I like it, plan on making another guy since my current isn't to my liking.

I've been playing for a few months now I mean there are still things I don't know about the game but it's still interesting to play even if you stop for a few days/weeks/months it's something you can come back to. With all my other Characters I stopped at 45 and ended up deleting them sadly(due to the 3 slot limits), though quests can be fast at times. My current Ranger/Bard is 52 furthest I've ever gone with any classes. Right now I've slowed game play to wait for Necro and Tachi(Katana) Which classes did you end up with if you don't mind me asking?

Space Station 13 on byond is a awesome role playing multiplayer game. So many crazy things happen, from Asshole Clowns, killer Mimes and Cannibal Chefs. It can be a barrel of laughs or a awesome roleplay. There's also more serious jobs like Doctors, Engineers and Security. But bare in mind different servers have different rules.

If you're looking for F2P, go to RIFT. If you don't see a problem to buy something for 25€, get GW2.

wow no one mentioned Shaiya... Its the best I ever played BUT... u have to play a private server. the public one from Aeria Games is 101% pay 2 win. if u go pvp lvl15 and have the best gear and stuff u can get ingame without real money u will hit.. 1dmg to a 5k health donator.. and he hit u 1500dmg from ur.. 3k hp
If u go private servers u get very very balanced gameplay :)

The most common MMO's played for extended periods of time have already been mentioned.
There are a few that haven't been talked about, much. Aion has been reworked and is probably worth trying. Archage (Korean-style MMO with Minecraft elements) is coming "real soon, now." Star Trek Online has also been revamped a bit and may be worth a shot. LOTRO is a good one, too, and still going, but it's difficult to recommend due to the payment model.
Going strictly by the OP, I'd probably recommend TERA and/or Archage.

Tera europe es a big shit. Gameforge sucks. A old player wiht many characters with lvl60 and ilvl 170-171.
For me, Lineage 2, but is old game and in the future, Black Desert. If u want enter in Tera europe, please, Gameforge is a bad company.

Pre-renewal/classic Ragnarok Online- It's a top down MMO that is lacking in some areas but has a fairly good community and many different classes including blacksmith, ninja, bard, dancer, alchemist, gunslinger and Taekwon. The renewal update made it less grindy but also discouraged party questing/leveling, the old grindable quests encouraged classes to tank and draw in enemies to a central camp where mages/healers would wait to kill them with AOE attacks. Do not play Ragnarok 2, it sucks.

I have been out of the MMO scene for a long time. I used to play Korean MMO's that were typically grind fests (I liked them). I am looking for a decent MMO to play that isn't just questing. I used to play Kal Online and Zu Online and liked both very much. I have played Neverwinter but the endgame sucked once I hit the max level. Anyone know of any good MMO's out there?
