There isn't any such option on SG.
It's actually pretty easy to find the correct giveaway option, if it exists. Just enter the sub or app ID for a game you want to give away, instead of trying the actual name of the game while you create your giveaway.
You can find them in the URL of Steam, at steamdb or in threads as this one. For Hitman GOTY it's 216806, which results in no found match. 272966 for Hitman 2 finds its match.

It is not exactly the GOTY version but you can use 71223:
HITMAN™: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON [Prologue + Episode 1-6 + Bonus Episode]

Can you please give any source to this ?
IGNs last known acquisition is of Humble in 2017 - https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/ignentertainment/company_financials
Microsoft is not owned by anyone. Companies have shares in it but that's about it.
Madcatz went bankrupt in 2017 and even with it's comeback it's hardly believable they bought IGN which is hell of a lot more worth then it.
Viacom is owned by National Amusement...
And IGN is owned by Ziff Davis, which in fact is owned by j2 global (both of which can claim ownership of Humble. but neither has any connection to microsoft as far as I can find out... maybe in shares, but don't really want to look that deep into it because that would mean nothing)
And all this in about 2 minutes googling session. What are you talking about here ?
edit.... I mean I even feel dumb even googling to fact check any of this... consider IGN is worth "mere" 40 thousand dollars (at least predicted value. could be higher) while Microsoft reached 2 trillion dollar net worth this year... And even more = Microsoft is a public company ..... IGN couldn't even afford to get majority in shares of the company.. even less own it

oh please do explain to me where exactly was your comment a joke, O`wise one.
Because there is absolutely jack shit that indicates to it :)

Because there is absolutely jack shit that indicates to it :)
It was crazy ramblings that was as nonsense as you pointed out. But some of us found that funny, instead of typing up a wall of text meticulously disproving it, then continue to be angry about it days later.
Just let it go.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not being angry about. Just saying that there is zero indication it's a joke. For most I would say it's such a superficial comment that a regular passerby doesn't notice the absurdity of it.
and then we get very misinformed bunch of people typing what they read on such comments everywhere they go. I would really love to see the the distribution between people who see it as a joke out of thin air and those who took it on face value as if it would be regular comment with truth.
I mean I'm all for sarcasm, jokes and making fun of others......... but for it to be a joke it neeeds to have some subtle indication.... which "crazy ramblings" is really no indication at all on the internet.. if it would be 95% of stuff written here would be automatically a big joke.

I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure that only a tiny minority couldn't figure out that it was a joke.
And even if you couldn't tell so immediately for whatever reason, you should have managed to figure that out after your "investigation".
Seriously, who managed to learn that small or bankrupt companies were involved in the story and still doesn't get that it was a sarcastic nod to a false claim?

Okay, fine. I do apologize if I'm the only dense one here and didn't cought this allegedly obvious joke.
But I still disagree with the fact that it's so obvious. If you are not interested in the industry and don't know from top of your mind these companies than it's pretty easily to misinterpret it for truth.
And that is the only reason I commented my "investigation" as you so eloquently put it... which took me about 2-3 minutes... so don't read into it too much - this is another good example why we have so much dense opinions on facebook and other social media. People who just scroll over stuff read such "jokes" and go on repeating stuff like that.

I don’t agree that jokes require disclaimers but I do understand that some very naive or gullible people may take the comment at face value. However, I also think it’s more encumbant on the reader to develop their critical thinking skills rather than rely on a writer to do that for them, especially on such an absurd story.
There used to be a joke long ago where someone would say something, then someone else would ask “where did you hear that?” and if the reply was “I read it on the internet” people would laugh at them as it was widely known that anyone could write anything on the internet. Somehow we’ve forgotten that adage and I think we’re worse off for it.

Well, can't say I disagree with you..
Sadly the critical thinking has astronomically dropped in recent times.. I suppose people here have retained that still.. Being regular FB and 9gag user I see so much bullshit that I've started to analyse every little thing I read on those sites....
Also seeing how "read it on the internet" now seems to represent all the references most need instead of a joke, I'm all that jumpy to stuff posted everywhere..
As of jokes - that's definitely debatable and to each their own.. Not the time or place for that :) So sorry if I came on offensive or angry. Just surfing the net that's a natural response to the sea of bullshit you can't seem to evade..

i have a couple of questions: are both the hitman games actually complete versions? also what's the deal with hitman 3 and the other 2 in the launcher, are they improved in some way or it's just alauncher thing

So I already own HITMAN 1 GOTY, and redeeming the key didn't do anything. I can't seem to find the correct thing in steamgifts to give it away, though.
