What happened with the "what did you buy this sales" thread?

• Field of glory II Extremely expensive historic battles chess, so i hesitated a lot but it's much better than expected. Super happy.
• Puyo puyo tetris People in multiplayer are crazily strong and i'm crappy but the game itself has a super ambiance.
• Sherlock Holmes : crimes and punishment Fun gameplay and interesting moral choices.
• Dead or alive 5 Got no fun from last tekken (generic characters) and street fighter (micro-transaction hell). As a noob DoA5 is a lot of fun, didn't get so much fun since Koihime Enbu.
• Mysterium Empty multiplayer but nice cluedo variant.

I liked to read the other posts.
Fidelio incident is often quoted, didn't buy it but it looks like a good choice when you don't know what to buy for 1€.
But i think it's better to buy just some expensive games that we really want and play them really than 100 X 1€ games that will finish in backlog.
So just before the sale, wishlisted 100 games. There were so many interesting ones. But what's the point to buy interesting future backlog games. So finally bought 5.

To OP... Child of light is such a masterpiece ! :D

I know the sales don't seem as epic as they used to be but the conclusion I've reached is that the big publishers are actually to blame. A lot of them seem to want to keep the pricing of their games at the same base level for years, so even with a 50% discount, the game is still costing $40 to begin with, and the result is $20 for a 3 year old game, which doesn't seem worth it. (I'm looking at you ubisoft in particular).
But anyhow my birthday is in June and the regional pricing on my Steam store is much better than international stores, even with the higher discounts, so I picked up a few smaller titles to spoil myself. I also had about $20 in wallet money, that can't be spent elsewhere.
So I got:

• Skylar & plux (kid number ones choice, a nice little crash-esque platformer)
• Yooka - laylee (kid number twos choice, we're enjoying it so far)
• Grow up (enjoyed the first, so why not?)
• Cat Quest (Seems cute, and I've been looking for a fun RPG)
• Four last things (Love the idea and the humour)
• Firewatch (Good price, so it seemed like the right time to get it)
• Ghost of a tale (It was a toss up between this and tooth & tail, this looks really cute though)
• Inventioneers (the enjoyment of this will depend very much on the design, but it seems like fun)
• Sniper Ghost warrior 3 (yes, yes I know, but I enjoyed the other ones so why not?)

And then DLC for bioshock infinite, sniper elite III, company of heroes 2 and holy potatoes, so i can try and increase my completion percentage of those.
So yeah, I may still add a few more before the end of the sale, but I'm happy with my mix of games.

it's because people are getting disillusioned with steam sales now as they're just total crap, so no one can be bothered to even make a thread about it..

Nothing yet. I do plan to buy one or two The Fidelio Incident copies to giveaway :)

Bought 2 days ago TrackMania² Stadium (-70%) and Super Meat Boy (-90%). I had enough strength to resist to Hidden Folks and The Stanley Parable :D

Nothing for myself just yet, just gifted stuff to others. :)

Weak sale to be honest, I can't use online payment methods so just trying to make enough steam bucks from cards to buy Life Is Strange.

Only this small indie title for a reasonable price for me ($10.46).

Recursed is the only one I bought this time.

Didn't buy anything as I need to get a new mouse and keyboard (Mouse has the occasional double click issue and the wheel is acting up while the keyboard, I'd just like a new one sometime). So instead I went a gifted a game to a friend (They won a contest I was hosting via my radio show, The Realm Of The Metal Wolf).

Pretty lackluster sale, but after the last few years I haven't really set my expectations too high. I bought Firewatch since it's at a new low (though I would have preferred it on GOG) and KovaaK's FPS Aim Trainer so I can suck less at online games.

I only bought Beyond Good and Evil
