Telltale makes so much stuff that is hit or miss, it's hard to be excited for anything they announce nowadays.
I was a huge TT TWD fan, but don't even care about the 4th and final season coming. lol

I've enjoyed most of their stuff. EXCEPT the Minecraft and the real early stuff.
the really great ones were the first 2 TWD and the Batman ones, and I did like the guardians of the galaxy one... oh .. and the Wolf one, but that's just my opinion of course :)

i had no clue what stranger thing is but i must say i like telltale games, even early ones, sam and max games, poker night were fun aswell. The thing is, their games heavily story based so if its not exceptional players goes "meh", but even the average ones are pretty good. While i not played all one and not played all recent ones (mostly i get my games from bundles, hell, cant even play all those, why should i buy the newest ones lol) the only one i not like is the Game of Thrones one. That game was.... well, extremly masochist. If i want to suffer all the time no matter what i do then i could just leave my house and enjoy real life lol

With the number of games available to choose from these days a potentially "meh" game just isn't worth the time. Then there's the fact that Telltale are still spouting the "this game adapts to the decisions you make" line when the decisions are largely meaningless and the outcome is predetermined. I get that the scope and size of the games doesn't really lend itself to full-on RPG style branching storylines but the player choice in a Telltale game is about as meaningful as whether you choose to go left or right when a co-op shooter splits the party. This leads on to price which is a major consideration due to the lack of replayability. Then there's the fact that every release since TWD S1 has had numerous technical issues.
So ultimately... Why buy an average game when you can buy an excellent one, or a game that will give you a single playthrough of ~10 hours when you can buy one that gives you hundreds of hours or even a bug ridden one over one that works. I've bought almost all of their games that are available on Steam and I've enjoyed most of them but there's only so much money I can put into games at a given time and theres almost always something that comes out ahead of Telltale when it comes down to this game or that one.
EDIT:
If i want to suffer all the time no matter what i do then i could just leave my house and enjoy real life
As for that part it sounds like you aren't familiar with the franchise. That's like buying Dark Souls and complaining about dying.

I don't know, the first time they did this, it was with the Game of Thrones right? That was probably the worst Telltale game I have played, and I've tried almost all of them, Even the illusion of my choices mattering was non existent. Guardians of the Galaxy was a little better, although felt more like a sitcom than an adventure.
Telltale games are best played once, so you think your choices had some meaning, trying it a second time completely ruins the experience. Perhaps doing original content would be better.

I like Stranger Things a lot and I like Telltale games, but I'm not sure if it is something I would enjoy playing.

A Telltale game about cake days? I'm not quite sure what the gameplay would be like.
If you are offering to give me a game for my cake day, that is really generous, but I have many years worth of backlogged games to play and that includes a bunch of Telltale games. It could be years before I play it and by then it may have been released in a bundle or really cheap sale. If you were going to give a game to someone, I'm sure there are plenty of users that have less games to play than me and I would prefer if it went to one of them. Thank you for the generous offer though :)

I'm a bit bored by the look and gameplay of all telltale games... it's just a different story with a different skin on the same game over and over again...

This looks cool...Telltale is going to make a game based on the hit supernatural Stranger Things series!
No news yet on the game being based on the Netfilx series timeline or on the pre-series books.
