if you get scammed, and they remove you from friends, and you close the chat window, how do you find that profile again? is there a history log of people you have friended, chatted with, or who's profiles you viewed within steam?

Maybe from the time you became friends, it shows it in the Activity Feed. I don't know about chat log though.

Not sure if it works, but you can try opening the Steam chat window from your browser to see if some recent chat history is there.

https://help.steampowered.com/de/accountdata/GetFriendMessagesLog

There you will see the chat and you also have a shortcut to the profile as well.
Even if you are no longer Friends.
However it is only stored for a few days.

You should probably delete the links, I believe that would qualify as calling out which isn’t allowed here

that account's streamtrades profile got -rep from me two years ago, in march of 2018. i think they must have been impersonating someone else and added me on steam to try to scam me, because that was a year before i found out someone was impersonating me. this is probably the same person that impersonated me one year ago, in march of 2019.

A) yes, i know that, but my question was about determining which account that other person had interacted with.
B) some traders make offers that are very unfair to the recipient or, as you said, "douchey." if i was hostile to a "very, very nice person," then honestly, it's something i would have felt bad about after it happened.
C) it looks like we interacted three times, and on the last occasion you disagreed with the offer that i sent you because i had listed games that were neither in your [want] or [have] lists. that was four months ago. i do try to be friendly when trading, helpful to new traders, and fair when negotiating. offer 1 offer 2 offer 3
