We lost our dog in '92 and still miss him. Sometimes I even think he's still waiting downstairs in the morning.

That is my daughter, we named her "Orejas" (spanish for ears) she was using my neck as a pillow while i was sleeping (my boyfriend took the photo)

I'm so sad to know this, my dog is going to be 10 years old next May and he's starting to show his age, nevertheless everyone in the house loves him like if he was a child (like, an actual human child mind you)!
Old dogs sometimes suffer a lot, I hope yours didn't but now he's resting from any illness, may you remind him with tenderness and hopefully you will get another furry life companion someday along the road. Be strong, I send you a huge hug that I can only wish you can actually feel it.

Aww, I'm so so sorry to hear that :( I teared up just reading this post. I've wanted to own dogs since my childhood. After a near death experience my parents got me one. She is 4 years old now and I don't wanna think that I will go through the same thing myself one day. I already cried for weeks as a kid when my turtle died, I think I'll totally give up on life when I lose my dog. My sincerest and deepest condolences to you :'( And here is a picture of my dog.

Sincere condolences. The best advice I can give you is to take another dog when you'll feel like it. Here's a picture of my beloved Safi, born in june 1994 and dead in september 2008. I'm still missing him, like any gone close family member. But life goes on, I now share my living place with a dog and a cat (among other beings ^^)

These pictures below are my pups, I lost one a few years ago and don't have a picture of her to share sadly. She died of old age and I really miss her but I still love her (and always will).

Somethings led my life to have to leave my best companion with relatives in another country, but I visited him often as possible, I remember crying my eyes out as a kid when I was told he couldn't go with us. He was really my only source of emotional support, I didn't have a very kind upbringing, but I try to bring some positive to people everywhere I go. This dog really kept me from going postal on everything. I could really use some hugs right now, this dog kept me from the verge of suicide ;-;
Oh, and when I get on the computer I'll start a giveaway.
