One time a girl gave me her number, and then when she woke up sober the next day she told me to never call her. But I still have her number!

Next time you see him, ask him what he would do after he encounters a turtle in the desert and then flips it on its back. Depending on his answer, it might give you some leverage.

A bit, yes. I was referencing the Voight-Kampff empathy test, which is used to test the humanity of a subject. Humans have empathy with animals and have ingrained, instant (blush response) reaction to ideas of harming animals while "psychotic cyborgs" have it built in, but it's not natural. They know how to react in some situations (a turtle lying in his back) but they don't feel it (they shouldn't) so the Void-Kampff will look for the situation in which they fail to acknowledge a normal human empathy reaction so it can distinguish between those two.
It was taken from Philip K. Dick's novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"
.....god damn, this was probably the most gayest thing I ever wrote. If we were on a speed date, I could totally see you leaving the table right now.

So then, you're secretly a T-1000 model terminator who made contact with John Connor as played by Christian Bale?

I met a cute foreign girl on a Barcelona beach called Iris and I had a really wonderful time together. She gave me her phone number before leaving but then I went for one last swim and completely forgot about the number in the back of my swim shorts and the water almost washed it away. Luckily, before the water got to the paper and smudged the ink, I remembered it was in my pocket. so the number was not lost for good. I happily got out of the water and placed the number on my beach towel to keep it safe from the water. I went back for a swim and was thinking about her the whole time, I thought maybe, just maybe she was the one.
After my swim was over I got out of the water and was going back to my beach towel. Little did I know there was a strong wind coming in and as I was nearing my beach towel the paper with her number started to fly away. I started chasing after it and when I finally caught it I was dead center in front of someone. It turned out to be her and she smiled at how frantic I was to catch the paper.
Finally, we went and got a drink together at the mini "bar" on the beach. We talked until the night was over and then went our separate ways. When I got home I took the paper out of my pocket to keep it safe, then it hit me that I stupidly used the paper as a coaster at the bar.. the ink had been washed off. I cried myself to sleep that night, it's been 10 years since then, every now and then before bedtime I think about her, asking myself if she was the one and slightly crying myself to sleep.
Would things be different if that wind hadn't blown? If I didn't bump into her and go to the bar? If I didn't stupidly use the paper is a coaster? If I had photographic memory? If I entered it into my cellphone right away? If I gave her my number as well? Now, I'll never know.

Now make a potato that changes into the SG logo when you cook it. Until you invent one, I'm not entering.

Here's a sonnet I wrote.
-
The calm blue falls in love with the sailor,
He takes all he wants sensing no danger.
The sea grows jealous, he never cared or
Provided, now waves swell with her anger.
The sorry man falls in with a loud splash.
Tonight the deep, dark blue decides to take.
His craft rips apart, as the waves crash,
This once was his own obedient lake.
The ocean pulls her lover close,
He's trapped under the waves like they're rubble.
He can't reach any air with his mouth or nose.
He sees his life fly past in a bubble.
The sailor takes a breath, he knows he's done.
And the jealous blud mistress knows she's won.

Following the tradition of this and this, I decided to do something fun like that again, except this time I made some changes.
Now instead of a postcard, one lucky winner will go home with this super generic black coffee mug.
As seen here: super lame boring coffee mug
But how generic it is exactly? Well, pretty generic if you're gonna use it for cold beverage, however things get far more interesting once you add some coffee to the formula or hot chocolate or just me standing next to it - so pretty much anything that's considered hot.
And now: ultra cool white custom SG logo coffee mug
That's right, you are now a proud owner of one-of-a-kind, custom made, non generic Steamgifts coffee mug. Except you have to win it first.
The rules are simple, just leave any coherent comment in this thread, could be a simple "thanks" or "count me in" or you could tell me a story about that time you met a cute foreign girl on Barcelona beach called Iris and you had a really wonderful time together and she gave you a phone number before leaving but then you went for one last swim and completely forgot about that number in back of your swim shorts and the water washed away the ink so the number was lost for good. It's been 10 years since then, every now and then before bedtime you think about her, asking yourself if she was the one. Maybe, just maybe things would be different if you left that number on a towel or somewhere before heading out to the waters. But now you will never know......so yeah, as I said, a simple "thanks" or anything else should suffice.
Few things to point out though:
The giveaway will remain open till Sunday next week (August 8) and it is starting riiiiiiiiiiiight about..... NOW!
EDIT 1: Since few people asked me about this, yes it is a thermal mug that changes color with temperature - black/cold > white/hot. These are not two pictures of different mugs (as some actually assumed so).
