Hey, a bunch of my giveaways ended and before giving any gifts out I decided to look over all the winners gameslists on their community page.
Only one person won a game they already own, but that still kind of pisses me off, isn't it against the rules of this site to enter a giveaway for a game you already own?
I don't want to get a negative feedback from not sending the game, but he already owns a copy of the game, what do I do! :/

Info removed by RJ. No need to name & shame.

He already owns Condition Zero, kind of a bunner for those who don't own the game already.

email cg at inbox@steamgifts.com

Entering giveaways for games you already own is against the rules. Cg can just remove the giveaway / reroll the winner. You are well within your "charitable rights" to refuse to gift to someone who is breaking the rules that are expressly implicit when you join this community.

Hmm, try emailing inbox@steamgifts.com or getting with CG on the chat, and ask him if he can reroll the winner.

And again someone entered and won a game he/she already own.

Question.

If there is a bundle giveaway, such as the Max Payne bundle, and one already owns Max Payne but not Max Payne 2 - would the giver be obligated to send the gift?

Curious.

There's something in it that they don't own, which is presumably what they entered for, so yeah. Benefit of the doubt.

If not stated otherwise in the description: Yes.

I would assume that you would be allowed to do that, however I would not unless it was a big pack and you only owned a couple of the games, simply because it is rude IMO.

Maybe you should ask him. Maybe he's getting it for a friend?

That is against the rules. If you want a friend to enter a giveaway, use your 50 points to generate an invite code and invite him so he can join steamgifts. It's in the FAQ

I saw someone win portal from two different giveaways that were like 5 minutes apart the other day.

Wow that is pretty lucky, but I dont really think he was doing something bad there. The chance of winning both is unlikly, so he would have thought to put entries into both so that he would improve the chance of winning.

Would it be possible to fetch the list of owned games from Steam profile, and make them unable to take part in drawing that has the game they already own?

What if I wanna give my won game to a friend?

That's frowned upon - just stockpile 50 points and generate an invite for him/her.
