So I'm starting to run out of songs to play on Beat Hazard, so I'm coming here for suggestions. I'd prefer Videogame OST's and 80's songs, any Dragonforce from the albums Valley of the Damned, Sonic Firestorm, or Ultra Beatdown (Which means no Through the Fire and Flames for the people who think that's the only Dragonforce song to have ever existed), and soundtracks from TV shows or movies would be nice too. Here is the list of the songs I have played, and the difficulty I have completed them on-

  • Don McLean- American Pie [Never Completed]
  • Bronyfied- Brony Metal Medley [Suicidal]
  • Tommy james and the Shondells- Crystal Blue Persuasion [Suicidal]
  • Odyssey Eurobeat- Discord [Living Tombstone Remix] [Suicidal]
  • Doom OST- Doome Theme [Suicidal]
  • Megaman 10 OST- Farewell To Ballade [Suicidal]
  • Dragonforce- Fury of the Storm [Normal]
  • FiW- Gypsy Bard [Suicidal]
  • Phil Collins- In the Air Tonight [JGT]
  • Foreigner- Juke Box Hero [Insane]
  • Mika- Lollipop [Insane]
  • Mortal Kombat OST- Mortal Kombat Theme [JGT]
  • Dragonforce- My Spirit Will Go On [Suicidal]
  • Foster the People- Pumped up Kicks [Insane]
  • WoodenToaster- Rainbow Factory [Suicidal]
  • Nico Nico Douga- Ryuuseigun Chaos Mix [Never Completed]
  • Dragonforce- Soldiers of the Wasteland [Never Completed]
  • Dragonforce- Valley of the Damned [Insane]
  • Megaman 3 OST- Whistle Concert [JGT]

So as you can see, I picked up a couple songs tonight, but wanna get some more. Thanks for the help!

Try this one: Equlibrium - Unbesiegt

There is a part at 4:35 where the music gets really quiet just when one of the bosses are about to attack and you can barely pew pew

Yeah but I hate the Inhuman Rampage album. Cry for Eternity is good, but the rest is Blech. Honestly, I have yet to listen to most of Ultra Beatdown and all of Power Within. Ultra Beatdown because I haven't gotten around to it, and Power Within because I can't comprehend Dragonforce without ZP

There is no such thing as not knowing what to play, how small is your library?

Anyway, check out this former sticky from the original forums. (Read all pages.)

Given the general theme of most of those songs, I would recommend Devin Townsend - Deadhead.

(btw, that Doom song is a nice choice!)

Peter Schilling - Major Tom: Try to find the 8min extended version; Beat Hazard LOVES this song, as in there will be so many enemies and your own bullet streams that you won't be able to see the sky at times. An 80's classic.
ASK - Ride Out!: Damage warning - Can destroy headphones at some moderate volumes and speakers at high volumes, depending on the quality of the recording you use. Speedcore is the closest I can really describe this.
ASK - Scythe of 13: A little more mellow than Ride Out!

In reference to Dragonforce, look up Power/Symphonic/Speed Metal band Blind Guardian, and look for their harder work like Valhalla. Dunno about you, but when a German band plays an English song (The Bard Song) in a German city (Stuttgart) and the audience sings the song (in English, mind you) for the band, I think that speaks for the quality and popularity of the band.

+1 this for remixes only. The game itself is one of the best shmups ever, but the original song cuts are too short yo be enjoyable in Beat Hazard.
