The U4E mod for UT99 had some of the coolest weapons I've ever played with in any FPS game... like the black hole generator, nuclear arrows, and of course, baby nukem hands down.

Except when you're playing with max players and mods like U4E. Camping with a sniper rifle would be a very dumb thing to do then. :P
I also like turning off all weaps, except for pistols, and just running the crotchshot mutator. Now there's some funny carnage right there! (Unless you're into tele-fragging. lol)

G36E Valkyrie in Combat Arms - What made me really fall in love with fps on PC. I'm also partial to deagles in FPS always feel badass.
Flamethrower in TF2/KF2 etc.

Polymorph Ring in Orcs Must Die! 2 - I love making loads of chickens.

Gravity Gun, HL2. Picking up a saw blade, then lining up 5 zombies and slicing off their heads in a single shot is awesome.
Also, I killed a Combine soldier from like 300 yards away with a watermelon. That's right: a watermelon. Headshot FTW. :D

Kind of a hard question but...
Anti material rifle in Fallout new vegas. Nothing like blowing up some heads with a 50cal bringer of death!
Nuke launcher from F3-FNV even if i never really used it unless i felt like murdering something big.
MG42 and/or Karabiner 98 in most WW2 games especially Day of infamy.
Pulse rifle from most/all alien/predator games. Especially alien vs predator 1-2.
There is probably more but my memory is not what it used to be :)

From a practical standpoint - the Portal Gun (Portal)
For murdering everything with cool looking barrage - Ripper (Unreal Tournament)
Also, highly impractical but still fun to go crazy with - MIRV (Fallout 3)

There are a lot of fun/funny weapons in FPS games, but one of the most satisfying to use is still probably the rocket launcher from Quake 1. It's fast, it leaves a big impact when it hits, and it encourages you to be agile with your movement when you go up against it. It just has the whole package. There are other weapons that are better in individual ways, but on the whole, I don't think I've had as much fun with any other weapon in a game

As Fnord said, there are a lot of great weapons to choose from - I'll mention a few I didn't notice while skimming the comments so far:
The Silver Talon from Soldier of Fortune, and the Desert Eagle from Counter Strike.
Railgun from Quake.
Redeemer from Unreal Tournament.

We all know them, we all have them, we all played at least one of them. FPS games.
And we all have at least one weapon from them that we could use in other games or in reality.
So, my question to you people is, what are your all time favorite weapons from an FPS game?
Now keep in mind, I DO count games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout if you want.
My number one would have to be the TMD Time Manipulation Device from Singularity.
Next might have to be the Wingsticks from Rage.
Third is the Flak Cannon from the Unreal series.
Also from the Unreal series is the Razorjack. There's something about banking a razor off a wall and cutting off an enemies head with it that's SO satisfying.
So, anyone have their's?
