IIRC, you are right, and they are unable to remove / edit comments. I believe only CG has the ability to do so.

If you have sg plus, I believe people with "support" tags do not have post deletion power, but people with "mod" tags do. I know that crossbourne can delete posts.

As above.
The comment I have seen in particular was in a giveaway and it even had a member of the support team commenting under it saying that the user posting it has been suspended.
Yet, the referral link still remains in the post, allowing the user to 'profit' from others clicking on it.
Is this because the support members are unable to edit / remove comments? (to prevent any potential abuse of powers?)
