Favorite veggie?
My favorite vegetable... torn between frozen peas (snack) and cauliflower rice since it's so versatile in cooking. Potatoes are a pretty great option though.

Sweet potatoes (especially sweet potato fries) :D I also really love corn, bell peppers, peas and avocado
Tomatoes, pumpkin and avocado may not be vegetables, but nobody says "I really want some fruit right now, I'm gonna go get a tomato"... It just isn't right :(

Ironically it's the potato, which most people will tell you "is not a vegetable" when you say it's your favorite veggie.
Technically it's a starchy root vegetable.
The other 4 are fruits. Fruits you say? Even better, they're berries. Yes, that's right. String beans are berries.

oh wow, didnt know that.
i knew about tomatoes and pumpkin being berries, but i had no clue about avocado and string beans.
potato actually being a vegetable surprised me greatly... like you said, i though it was a root. potatoes grow some sort of fruit aboveground that are poisonous, so i thought the potato underground is simply its root

Even though botany makes it really hard not to go crazy with all these veggies being berries and strawberries actually not being berries. I mean... wtf, botany??!

A few years ago we were selling Tomatoes grafted on to potatoes, so you could get a double yield from one plant.
more a novelty than anything else, as the spuds were ready early than the tomatoes, and the yield was fairly small.

Interesting... i've only ever heard the one about beans, but the other is probably a British saying, that i vaguely recall hearing in a film or show of some kind. Maybe Monty Python?

Why the post?
Just trying to emulate the cool kids of SG, as I realised I'm almost at Level 6. And I'm too impatient/forgetful to wait until my cake day, to post something. Hence this post and the easy peasy 'puzzle'.
