Haha they "upgraded it". They're going to bump it to 5Mbps next year I think. Still waiting on Fibr to be available which will be a huge jump. haha.

$60/month for unlimited 1Mbps.
I wish some people would stop ranting about "bad" internet speed until they've truly experienced it firsthand.

Wwwwwhhhhaaattttt???? Isn't internet suppose to get cheaper by time? Or is the value of your currency decreasing?

I moved, and also they keep raising the prices. Fucking thieving assholes, I can't believe this is legal. This is Canada, not the fucking north pole. Get us out of the stone age, please.

Wait, you live in Canada?! I expected Canada to have better internet speeds, at least better than India. You have it worse. I feel sorry for you ;_;
Well, the Magnetic North Pole is in Canada after all!

Well that's just fucking downright disgusting. There's too much bullshit going on in Canada which barely any people ever hear about, and people praise Canada for being such a perfect country. ._.

Quota is disgusting. :s
Here i pay 30€/month for up to 20mbps (i got 13 mbps where i live). Plus we got unlimited phone call within the country and a bunch of TV channel.
I can upgrade to 100mbps with another provider for about the same price.
But i prefer my actual provider, i got a free option for low ping (one of the best in EU) + fiber optic is coming really soon (up to 1gbps) without increasing the price.

Yeah but no unlimited internet in my country can reach that speed.
Money burner though, it's about $1/GB

$16 for 100Mbps/Down 3Mbps/Up (asymmetrical) - unlimited
EDIT: It's $18, not $16.

Phone (line rental + free weekend calls) and cable packaged together with the internet = $120-$135 altogether depending on my phone usage.

The problem isn't capitalism - its the lack of a competitive market.
For capitalism to work you need a competitive free market, once monopolies or oligopolies set in the prices become inflated and quality goes down the drain.
The whole idea revolves around a free market. Yet when there is only one provider or a set group that make market agreements with eachother? Then there is no free market.
In the same sense as the US effectively isn't a democracy but an oligarchy.

Not that it matters but the US was never and was not suppose to be a Democracy. It is/was suppose to be a Republic.

The US was founded breaking away from a ruling system where only a select few could obtain power.
I'm sure you're right that the founding fathers had in mind that it would revert to that very thing where only 'the nobility' has a say.
You're right that they feared mob rule, but they also were not very big fans of the European / English system where you had royalty and nobility lording it over the commoners.
Course that still stands apart from the fact that there is no free market. Just monopolies and oligopolies that are sustaining inflated prices.
One of the most expensive and at the same time worst healthcare systems in the world - but you're free to pay right?

Do not get it from Comcast, their service is very unreliable and after you download some, they throttle your download speeds. It's unlimited, technically, but there is a soft cap, at which point your speeds will slow below dial-up.

About $20 for 2mb (really 1.7mb) and a 100gb cap with unlimited data 12AM - 5AM

I just recently browsing about internet provider,
I see this http://www.xfinity.com/internet-service.html
$35 a month with 25 Mbps speed unlimited
You see my country BEST (Best speed best price) internet provider cost about :
$25 with speed 8 Mbps/1 MBps max at night, with quota 20GB day + 20GB Midnight
$50 with speed 8 Mbps/1 MBps max at night, with quota 55GB
My government said that our internet price is cheap, but I don't believe it one bit.
Out of curiosity what is your internet cost and speed?
