Is ASF doing that by default? My queue wasn't done it seems.

I take it it only works in recent versions? I'm running v2 I dont see it in there.

Thanks mate, I know but I prefer v2. was wondering if there was such an option there, I guess not.
Comment has been collapsed.
I wouldn't use V2 if I were you, but it's your Steam account. Using outdated software with known bugs and even a potential for getting yourself suspended, that is clearly documented in the FAQ of the program, is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard.
Comment has been collapsed.
There are multiple reasons why V2 works for me which I dont care to explain to you.
That said, there's a reason I didnt ask you, why you gotta stalk people?
You need to work on your attitude buddy, you're better and smarter than no one.
Nobody wants to read your FAQ encyclopedia, we dont all live in basements, most of us have real businesses and busy lives.
We're fine clicking 1 button and moving on to important things.

You already did in your previous message, the one you deleted. No need to act like you're above what you did now.
Nobody wants to read your FAQ encyclopedia, we dont all live in basements, most of us have real businesses and busy lives.
I hope you'll be fine dedicating that precious time to explaining to Steam support how your community ban is unjustified if you don't care to listen to the guy who created the program you're using, directly telling you that it has known bugs that can result in you getting banned out of Steam. I'm not sure now if you're just incapable of reading comprehension or outright stupid, but it's your account, I couldn't care less what happens to it, maybe Steam support will explain it better to you in your ticket for account suspension. I'm only sad I wasted time creating those two replies with intention to warn you in advance before something bad happens, but it's alright, forget I wrote anything, enjoy your day.
Comment has been collapsed.
yep I was editing to give you the list of reasons, but decided you're not worth it and deleted it altogether.
You keep making false assumptions which is tantamount to arrogance and ignorance, and you have an overload of both.
One moment you dont give a damn what happens the next you're stalking people forcing them to read your journal. Some of us 'outright idiots' are making more in a month with our creations than you will in a lifetime, and dont have time for your FAQ.
If your piece of code, old or new, is capable of getting someone suspended, maybe it means it shouldn't be used at all.
Update or get suspended is a ridiculous excuse of a software or incompetence on your part.
Have a wonderful day.

Thanks for the excellent humor. Why is it always the most arrogant and ignorant ones that blame others for it? If you think ASF should not be used, why are you using it then and not coding your own? And why are you whining at Archi if Steam is banning idiots like you, just because he was kind enough to warn you?
Also protip: the pennies you make might seem like a huge fortune to a kid in a Soviet country, but they are still pennies in the real world.
Comment has been collapsed.
Speaking of humor, you need some geography lesson, badly. And my business operates in your country too btw.
I didnt whine at archi he came to me, in fact I had made it a point to never address him long ago.
And if you think that calling people "dumbest ever" is kind advice, then I feel sorry for the way you must get treated on a daily basis.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Federal_Republic_of_Yugoslavia
"It nation was a socialist state and a federation governed by the League of Communists of Yugoslavia and made up of six socialist republics"
Can't get more Soviet than that. Also you're the one who included yourself in the only group of people who imagine they are making any kind of fortunes with ASF, Russian card farmers.
He didn't call anyone "dumbest ever", just said the idea is. It's like driving a 20yo truck with no maintenance done ever with broken breaks and no lights and then attacking someone who says it's a dumb idea to drive that, get it fixed just because you make some pennies driving the truck around. Would you call that truck driver the smartest person ever instead? Or blame the truck manufacturer when the cops give you a pile of tickets for it?
You do realize that it's Steam that's doing all the banning and tightening the rules, not Archi? That ASF updates to handle new Steam requirements to protect people from getting banned? Yet you keep imagining that you are so far above any of Steam rules that you shouldn't get banned even if you use some ancient software that clearly says in the manual that it will get you banned just because your "business" makes you too busy to spend 1 minute reading a manual.

Thank god for wikipedia. Except that's 40 years old. What year is it in Finland?
You clearly have no idea what "soviet" even means either.
Without googling I can tell you that your country was ruled by Russia, mine never was.
I also never claimed to make a fortune with ASF, is this a joke or what.
You make false assumptions like your master. I get that you want to kiss his ass, but don't humiliate yourself doing it.
Besides, my HQ is in Vienna so again totally pointless and off-topic arguments.
On-Topic, I dont have issues with someone giving advice, i do have an issue with someone being arrogant and insulting to everyone because he thinks making a card farmer gives you a god status. If he had said that nicely I would have had no quarrel.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh I thought you lived in history based on your preference to use antique software? The year here is 2018 and ASF version is 3.4.x
Our country defeated Russia in a land war, yours bowed to the Communist overlords.
What master? I'm kicking your silly ass in the argument, not kissing anyone's.
Yeah sure, you have a very important huge international business everywhere making you millions, yet you need to farm cards to get couple pennies. Sure sounds legit and makes sense.
Comment has been collapsed.
Are you suggesting that everyone farming cards is poor? Cause that's incredibly stupid.
Pretty sure the majority of people do it as a hobby. Not to mention I mainly use ASF to automate my key redemption.
You keep making silly assumptions and you know what they say about people who do that.
Not sure who's ass you think you're kicking but you're digging a deeper hole for yourself with every reply.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not at all, but looks like I simply misread your "our" as "your". Many people like myself use it as a hobby to gain imaginary stats for fun. People with huge international businesses also don't try to make couple dollars trading games in my experience, that's something poor people do.
But the point about driving that 20yo broken truck still stands. Would you call the truck manufacturer an arrogant ignoramus because the manual says the truck should get regular maintenance or blame them for the traffic tickets and losing your driving license? Or would you call the truck driver dumb for driving such a thing? Or arrogant if they lash out at anyone who tells them to get it fixed before it causes an accident?

It works, SMUCKEY. You must wait. Read this: "When this option is enabled, ASF will automatically check Steam discovery queue each 8 hours (starting in one hour since program start), and clear it if needed." The new option is "AutoSteamSaleEvent". The old option was "AutoDiscoveryQueue".
Comment has been collapsed.
Apparently only 2 for queue this year. At least that's what is say in the client.
Comment has been collapsed.
Weird... Well, I most certainly won't complain about too many free cards :D
Seems 3, but let me see the Steam page
Wouldn't be the first time they mess up. If I remember correctly last year people who jumped on it early got like ~15 extra cards for Voting in the Community awards.

Got three cards, no idea why (it was on an alt account, and I'm using ASF).
ASF says it checked the queue three times, though:
2017-12-21 19:36:47|ArchiSteamFarm-26963|INFO|Bot|ExploreDiscoveryQueue() Done clearing Steam discovery queue #0.
2017-12-21 19:36:59|ArchiSteamFarm-26963|INFO|Bot|ExploreDiscoveryQueue() Done clearing Steam discovery queue #1.
2017-12-21 19:37:13|ArchiSteamFarm-26963|INFO|Bot|ExploreDiscoveryQueue() Done clearing Steam discovery queue #2.

Three for checking the discovery list three times, and one for voting.
I think Archi released a Patreons-only version of ASF that does the voting automatically.

Would you please tell me where in the config you inserted the new line ? I put it right at the beginning before AcceptGifts and nothing seems to be happening.
{
"AutoDiscoveryQueue": true,
"AcceptGifts": false,
Or does it take a while after launching ASF until it tries to go through the queue ?
Comment has been collapsed.
I set the line
"AutoDiscoveryQueue": true
in my bots, but my question is about when the Discovery Queue is do it by the bots? Is every 6hs (i read something in the wiki) or at radom, i have some way to know when this process will start? Is there any command to force this?
Thanks

Close ASF. Wait 5 seconds then start it. ASF will clear the 3 queues.

Dumb/Newb question. What are my options with my cards? What do most people do with them? I see I can sell mine from today for 5-7 cents. Is that the best option? What good are the badges? Can I sell those for much more money? What good are gems?
It says my card is "Valid until 2/4/2018, 11:00:00 AM". Does that mean the card disappears after that? Or I can no longer sell or use the card but it is still in my inventory?
Comment has been collapsed.
crafting badges doesn't just make your profile "pretty", leveling your steam up gives extra friend slots, a few items and every 10 levels give you like 20% extra chance of getting booster packs.
is like using cards to get extra chances to get even more cards.
Comment has been collapsed.
20% chance isn't really that good.
If game-booster can be received by 1000000 people, your chance at level 1 is 1/1000000, at level 10 it's 1.2/1000000 and it only changes into 2/1000000 after you get to level 50 and to 3/1000000 after you get to level 100.
It's more cost-effective to just buy some Bundle with many games that has cards, because each game will be an additional 1/number-of-players.

Already have a script from last year, all I have to do is to enter the link and it checks all three queue automatically.
I have ASF but I have to login anyway on my alts for the vote card. :)

this script used to do it in seconds without even loading the pages it doesn't work anymore but it worked for the 2 previous sales, the script you link loads each page and is pretty slow compare to this one

this is basically doing almost nothing and get something in return. thats why people going to use script, to minimize efforts. For people with bots, it is large sums. It is the same thing like how you trade games in steamtrade for paypal, for few cents. Dont you think?
Comment has been collapsed.
I doubt that enough new unique people joined steam to really effect prices from the .14 - .10 cent range they were from sales previous to the last summer sale.. That would require many thousands of extra cards flooding the market.. Could be less people are buying them I guess, and driving down the price, but even then I doubt that, as you still have the hardcore levelers that buy thousands of cards over the course of the sale just to get hundreds of level up's..
Comment has been collapsed.
In Ausust, there were 14 million users peaks on Steam. Now, peaks are 17.5 high.
2.5 million more people starting Steam everyday, at least - even if only 1% of them are crafting cards, that's 100k new cards every day compared to previous sale.
Heck, even 1‰ is still 10k new cards everyday.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it already but why do you use GreaseMonkey or TemperMonkey at all while it is doable without it? I have some old queue browsing code that I run in console of my Chrome/IE/Firefox and it's all done without any unnecessary Monkeys.
Just wondering...
PS. I've missed first minutes/hours of these cards so I'm assuming keeping them on the very end will be the best idea if I want to make more profit by selling them, right? :)
PS2. Today is still the first day of this right?
Comment has been collapsed.
I know but what about after sale price? I think it rose up a bit... Cards are good up to February I think and that will be like 20 days after the end of the sale... What do you think?
Comment has been collapsed.
for sale cards, the best time to sell them is when they first come out, before the actual sale starts.. The next best time is the first and second day of the sale,, after that the cards do nothing but drop in value.. the last day of the sale tends to see them hit the lowest prices..
Comment has been collapsed.
Did you keep an eye on prices this year because this is no longer accurate (hasn't been for ~ the last 2 sales).
I checked prices 10 minutes after cards started dropping and prices were already down to 0,07€ and didn't raise over 0,09€ during the whole pre-sale period.
Comment has been collapsed.
the last winter sale they were .14 - .10 before the sale started, then jumped back up to .12 for the first two days, then went lower.. I don't recall the last summer sale, IIRC they were fairly low during that sale too,, likely because people have made loads of accounts and botnet the card drops so they put a stranglehold on prices by selling hundreds if not thousands of the cards
Comment has been collapsed.
That's true, however, I am hinking about keeping them AFTER the sale ends. They have about 30 days more to expire once sale ends and that should make their price a little higher... At least I hope so. Since I've missed first hours of their drop I think it's not worth selling them now anymore... Or I'm wrong?

I don't think most people know how to run stuff in browser consoles (I don't even know myself and I'm more technical than the average person), much less have some code sitting around that they can use to go through the queue.
If there was an extension which could go through discovery queue without having to install one of the monkeys, or that function was added to something like enhanced Steam I'm sure people would be all over it. After very, very bad experiences with greasemonkey (which in the end messed up Firefox so bad I had to go to a backup from several months earlier) I would avoid all monkeys like the plague if they weren't the only way to do some very useful things.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, these monkeys are bad and tricky... That's why I don't like them as well
And about runnign the code without all these... F12 usually let you use the console in a browser :) Works in Chrome, Chromium and Edge. Not sure about Firefox but I stopped using that slow browser so I can't check that.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, It adds a button AutoJoin Queue in steam. It's only visible during the sales.
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't get why do you need to use GreaseMonkey or some other thing like that? I just paste my queue browsing code into a console and it does the job well (works on Chrome, Chromium, Microsoft Shit and Opera).
Comment has been collapsed.
The less apps/plugins/anything you have installed/added to your account the better. That's my opinion.
Comment has been collapsed.
That is a common opinion, nothing wrong with it. Some people just want to save time and hassle by having scripts do the job for them, shouldn't be a hard thing to get. And they already have it installed for other purposes so not an issue.
I'm using the console to consume knick-knacks since I haven't seen a Monkey script for it, but it feels like extra work every time I do it and I would switch the moment I could. That some people prefer doing the extra work is something I don't get.
Comment has been collapsed.
Did you noticed that there's an option (a butom) saying CHEAT QUEUE in https://store.steampowered.com/explore just below the queue? I take less time that using any script.
Comment has been collapsed.
Are you sure you do not have a browser extension that allows that button? I could not find the option for me.
Edit: The cheat button is part of the SteamDB browser add on
https://old.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/aaoftl/steam_store_is_getting_very_close_to_android/ectmo1q/
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes you're right i check again and is the SteamDB extension (steamdb.info). Well it works just great (some times it take a few retries if steam is overloaded) but is much more faster than the script i been used the for the past years.

This is a Userscript to automatically harvest the discovery queue Trading Cards, can be run with either Greasemonkey (Firefox) or Tampermonkey (Chrome/Opera);
https://github.com/AceLewis/SteamDiscoveryQueueBot
https://github.com/PotcFdk/SteamDiscoveryQueueAutoSkipper
To start,
(there are some who faced problem on how the script not working on mozilla firefox that are using grease monkey, the option is to change to tampermonkey, and voila, it works perfectly)
** But i rather check it by myself if there are any missed good games
