To have a greater chances of winning. Try to join those GA with less than 200 entries (for that to happen you have to Give Non bundle games to raise your CV)

Joining a 50p game with (5k++ entries) would be astronomical in odds

Join groups (but usually they also ask you to give GA)

It's simple, those people who win, actually give away stuff, they are not greedy, lazy leechers like you.

Just enter more giveaways and join some groups. Also try solving puzzles on the forums. Still, the system is random so even with that then you can still be unlucky. Basically just enter giveaways with better odds.

Also as a pro-tip, make some giveaways. It increases your odds of winning since you can enter contributor giveaways, and if you dont have a lot of money then you can still get to $30 value for less than a buck.

Don't enter shit below 0.03%, or even 0.04%. I usually don't enter if it's lower than 0.05% and when I do, it's for games I'd really like to get and only if I've got some spare points.
Join a group, bundle based might be a good one for you to start with. Lurk around the forum from time to time for puzzles or links to private giveaways. Also this: "How to win giveaways, 100% reliable source, novirusesiswear"

I won my first one before 1k, around 992 I think. Irony was that I won it right after posting in a topic where people would whine about their ratio.

Join giveaways with few entries (if it still has more than a day to go, the entries will go up a lot). If it has over 1k entries, I don't bother unless it has multiple copies being given away. Then there are private giveaways, which typically have even fewer, but you have to find them (often in the forums) or group giveaways, which will have even fewer, but are harder to get into.

You seem to know the answers already. You've entered a lot, but when its purely public GA's, its a very low chance. Get your CV up and join a few groups and you can join CV restricted GAs, look around the forum for puzzle GAs. That's the best way to increase your odds.

What, you only entered 1000 and won once already? I had 1200 entries before my first, and that was when my expected win was over 3.

Those who got 200 entries and 10 wins probably joined all those contributor-only giveaway groups that hold group-exclusive giveaways, and have a member cap like 50 members in the group at any one time, so your chances of winning in those giveaways are higher. However you also have to contribute to the giveaway pool, so if you can't do that then you just have to hope you're lucky enough to win the usual public GAs.

Doing puzzles also help, like I solved a few puzzles and got into the respective GAs, now my wins are quite over my expected win because of those puzzle GAs.

TL;DR? You need effort if you want to win a lot more than expected.
