i agree with Alpha protocol even on the PC the game works fine, really cant understand all the hate for this one. the dialogue on the other hand is awful, as in most games nowadays

Saints Row 2 - sure, it does not work well, but it`s awesome !

Works well enough, my sister and I have had less problems with 2 than with 3 and 4.

Anachronox
Still the best western-made JRPG so far.
Also, Batman: Arkham Origins. I found most of the negative hype to be unjustified. Like how it re-uses the map of Arkham City, while the nominally re-used area feels, and in the case of the Industrial Mile is nothing alike.

FUEL in my opinion ( I find it one of the best, and kinda unique on pc)

Hidden & Dangerous 2 and its expansion Sabre Squadron, which added coop. It is a realistic, FPS/TPS, WW2, squad based, tactical shooter. I described to to friends as Rainbow Six: WW2, but never got any of them into it despite them all loving Rainbow Six. I still have it on disk, but I'd buy it again if GOG could get it.

i really wanted to like that game; but dust cant meet any expectations, and fails in all aspects. as an rpg game its very weak; childish character designs and story, braindead dialogues and humor, useless crafting system, wtf items (i remember equipping a STONE instead of a sword). as a platformer, no need to say much, walking the main character on a "platform" doesnt make a game a decent platformer. finally im not impressed with the "X,X,X,X" combat system(ofcourse we have a fluffy sidekick shooting "something" out of her rearend).
dont get me wrong, i just saw the "metroidvania" tag on the game...as a castlevania fan im not impressed with that game, it offers nothing new at all. i think the game is overally a mediocre game. but the game is not good not bad, and definetely not underrated.
this is my opinion ofc.

I'd say Duke Nukem Forever did suffer badly from negative hype, but even with that, it had too many issues to be really good.
Duke Nukem Manhattan Project on the other hand, is underrated as everything conspired to keep it off the radar on release, and off the market in Legal Hell for a few years after. But is a surprisingly solid return to the 2d platformer roots.

well there are alot of games out there that have not received the attention they deserve.
games i think are underrated:
next car game,
space engineers,
take on mars,
contagion,
planet explorers,
overgrowth,
dreadout
