So Stellaris is Paradox's current best-seller for those who don't know it yet. The record-breaking game already has 95% positive reviews on steam and as a strategy fan I was wondering if this game is really worth it. Unfortunately not that into 4x, but love space strategy games. I've spent my childhood conquering the galaxy in Empire at War
I've seen it being sold for 28$ on the trading section which is pretty cheap for a day old AAA title.
What is your view on the matter? Do you trust that Paradox would continue to "support" the game with countless expensive DLCs? Or will it be as well executed as Cities Skylines which offers most of it's content in the main game?

What is your relationship status with Stellaris?

I am currently not involved with it, but plan to spend the rest of my life with Stellaris as soon as I can afford it
I already got Stellaris and enjoy every nanosecond of my existance
Not my type of game, I am just here for the crappy giveaway
No way I am getting this , I don't trust Paradox, they will release half of the game's content as DLCs
28$=6x Family size pizza's (in my country), why waste it on a game?
Yes.

That +20 dollar price on the Galaxy Edition tells it'll have plenty DLC content.
Also, the game really reminds me of Imperium Galactica 2: grand strategy, space theme…
I know it is classified as 4X, but it's the same people who do Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron, so I would expect a very similar deep grandstrat from them.

Nobody can tell you how great it is after just one day. I just reached mid game and it indeed gets very different from the early exploration stage. Some criticize that it is bland in that stage, till it gets awesome again in the end. We'll see.

But what I can already assure you: If it should lack content in some stage, that won't remain like that for too long. You can expect tons of content in the pipeline, be it from Paradox or mods.

The thing that really grabbed is the mods. First day and already a Warhammer mod is out. I can't image what it's gonna be like a month from now.

I am somewhat down on Paradox despite being a long time loyal fan, because of excessive pricing and frequency of paid DLC for EUIV. But I still trust the overall quality and unique style of their grand strategy so I'm definitely playing this, just not yet.
