So I was tidying up my wishlist the other day and I couldn't help but notice (thank you, Enhanced Steam) how much it would cost to purchase everything.

Also, I'm a sucker for the WOULD YOU DO ITTT??? kind of questions so here's one:

If you could trade in your current library (both finished and unfinished games) and receive for free every single item of your current wishlist... Would you do it?

I probably wouldn't for several reasons. The first one is that I love my relatively little library; the second is that if I got every single game of my wishlist at once I would probably feel... Empty? You know what I mean? I like to save money to buy the games I want and I like to discover giveaways from my wishlist and hope I'm gonna win. And when it happens it just feels awesome!
Also I would feel lost because of too much backlog, hehe.

Lots of people are not finding the train ;_; I swear it's here! You just need to holy guacamole look better!

Would you trade your current library for your wishlist?

Eh. Although the value of my wishlist is much higher in value and only slightly smaller in size than my library (excluding the free stuff), I'd prefer to keep my library for sentimental reasons with the GA's I've won. As asked above, would I be able to rebuy the games in this hypothetical situation? It'd be a shame as there are a quite a few I really like. Almost forgot, bump!

I have ten times more games in my library than my wishlist. And I wouldn't trade in stuff like Fallout 2 and X-Com Apocalypse, it would be a betrayal of my childhood.

My entire library? No no no, never. Far too many awesome games in it. While there are awesome games in my wishlilst too, I wouldn't do it. I like the hunting for good deals far too much and also I share your opinion I would probably feel very empty then.

I liked Celebraty Death Match, never heard of the other shows tho.

Not a chance that I would make that trade - I have more unplayed titles in my library than on my wishlist, and add the games I'm done with but want to replay to that :D

...and I can see what you mean with it feeling empty if you had all the games on your wishlist. It's nice to have things to look forward to.

Never. It took me too much to gather those games. Plus, it would ruin the fun to collect every game on my wishlist.
Thank you for the train ! :)

When you think about it, pretty sad that your life would feel incomplete without your addiction. I say that knowing we're all probably the same -- addicts.

Hmm... it would be cheaper for me to buy my old library back after doing the exchange.
But then again I'd be banned on SG for "not activating" my wins and I like this site too much.

Still not finding the train (not even in the page source, so I'm probably blind or something), but my answer is no.
No, I wouldn't trade my library for my wishlist, however tempting that would be :)

There's people who automatically dump every games that comes out onto their wishlist. They might go for it. Personally, I'd come out in the red, so no.

Why would I trade it? I've got everything I need for the rest of my life (it is really not that much), and my wishlist is just offering some little additions to it =)

Hm, I already own a lot of games that would definitely be on my wishlist if I didn't own them, so in the end I would probably end up with a bigger wishlist :P

I would! Most of the games in my library are free, bundles games that i do not play or not interested in. Those that I still play are few and i could buy for a fraction of what I would need to pay for my wishlist. But given a whole hundreds of wishlist games all at once, I wonder if I have the time and patience to hold out and play all of them.
