Do you whitelist back everyone who whitelist you?
There so no certain criteria for me, I might like something they said, something they did like an event on SG, or just generosity. Just like what you said. Or sometimes I make a puzzle event and add some first solvers to my whitelist for temporarily.

To me that's how whitelist should be use, but lately I've seen so much tread where people are whitelisting people just to they get whitelisted back. I don't think it's the majority though, or at least not the majority of higher levels user (and by higher levels I mean like 4 and higher).

To answer the question in your title:
I manage my whitelist with a fantastic tool

Thanks!
I do wish it was worse because I do like winning. ;)

WL reasons:
I go through my WL every now and then and if someone did not leave a lasting impression, I remove them. So there is a constant flux if you smooth over a timeframe of month.

I whitelist people who make the time I spend on Steamgifts enjoyable. It can be for making a lot of great giveaways, or simply making some entertaining or helpful comments in the forum. Whether some has me whitelisted does not affect who I add myself.

That's a great way to look at, I think a whitelist should be about people who stand out somehow; whether it be awesome ratio, doing something nice, funny, awesome... But certainly not about whitelisting somebody with the intention that they will necessarly whitelist you back... But it seems that for some people it's what it's all about:(

I only WL people if they catch my eye, I really like them, AND remember whitelists exist all at the same time. It's not really a big deal to me because I've never done any WLGAs and I'm not sure if I ever will, so I don't think people I forget to WL will be missing out on much. I'm grateful when someone else adds me to their WL though.
Thanks for the GA by the way.

I whitelist people based upon what I perceive to be their character.
As for being on other people's whitelists, I do nothing to encourage it, nor do I reward it. I cannot be bribed, although some people keep pretending to do so. P

I've never done a WL giveaway but I'm planning to. As for how I manage it, I used to add anyone with a good enough ratio but then I started noticing some of them weren't really "nice" people and I cleaned it. Now I'm slowly building it with mainly people that I've noticed for good things (just as Zomby2D said)

No I don't. I also don't necessarily blacklist people who blacklisted me.
My only criterion is being active and nice. I've stopped adding people to my whitelist though, because I feel I have too many users on it. I want the entrants to have good odds on these giveaways.

On the other hand it does ensure that whoever wins the giveaway is a good member of this community, which is something other types of giveaways don't provide. I've had some very bad experiences with public giveaways, including Level 4 ones, but my whitelist has never failed me.

You are right, A couples days ago I did a GA for 5 copies at level too; I had too sent a ticket to ask for reroll on two of them. Of course one of them wasn't accepted because the person had already served their suspension and the other was acepted, but it was the second time that he was winning multiples, so I'm assuming no lesson learned...

I have chosen "It depends".
If I discover a whitelist GA by chance. I check the contributor's status on sgtools.
If that looks fine I add them too on my whitelist.
(Of course I also have other people on my whitelist, but this thread is only about whitelisting someone back).

Yeah lately I've seen so many people whitelisting others just in the intent of getting whitelisted back that it made me wonder how others saw it, personnally I don't think whitelisting should be about getting whitelisted back, but more about rewarding someone who has done or said something that I appreciated.

As you answered I may share why I whitelisted most people.
Keep in mind that I control everyone (sgtools) before adding them. I will forgive old mistakes (1 per level).
I may have forgotten something, I editted it already 3 times adding further reasons.

this is pretty much my criteria too, with the addition that if I notice that I enter a lot of giveaways from a particular user because they have a tendency to give away really nice games I will add that user to my whitelist.

With all those whitelist and whitelist 4 whitelist tread lately, I've been wondering; do you whitelist back everyone who whitelist you? I personnally like to whitelist people somewhat randomly (meaning if I see someone with a great ratio or someone who I see say or do something that I liked). But I've been curious; how do you manage your whitelist?
And of course here's the GA: http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/tcGvw/to-be-or-not-to-be
