Do you whitelist back everyone who whitelist you?
I adjust my whitelist/groups based on people's character.
Some are here just for "Free Steam games and Steam keys", some others don't.
Here in my country is even worst... But I have a group that I manage them all ruled by their character. So far so good...
The group is working perfectly fine without rules like most of international groups...

I simply chose no, because let's face it, I never have whitelisted anyone. Okay, aside from you and the 3 other users I have perma-whitelisted, I'll admit...

I put people on the list for several reasons, but the MOST important is being nice. Sometimes I ask for something in my gibs and if a person finds time to read my request and to give my what I want, most of the times they end on the list. I also dwell in the forum and pick cool people from there.

I only whitelist back someone if I'd whitelist them to begin with - and for this the reason varies - a few months ago I whitelisted higher level users who gave a lot, had good ratio and/or was active on forums, sometimes lower level users as motivation. But the I had a Deponia giveaway with 0 entry (some chick removed her entry for giving me a chance to get CV from it) then I remade the GA with WL + 1 group and got TWO entries. Deponia is fun, quality game, but relatively common. This made me realize that while I really would want to give stuff for my whitelisted people, at my financial standing I couldn't really afford bigger games - maybe something cheap unbundled one, while I have and will have bundle games... and that, sadly, most of my WLed people already have a LOT of games, and they don't really need / can win my giveaway. I still love to add them to my WL because I feel they deserve the gesture and the love towards them, (I'm also happy to see a WL giveaway even if I'm unintrested in the game, because it feels good :) I hope others feel the same way ) but I've recently started to add people who just acted nicely - kind of if you'd likely spend half an hour with that user besides a drink, talking, then she/ he deserves a spot - this way I can give stuff to people who will get more out of it, while still sticking with a closer group of people I can respect :)

It still is a nice gesture even if you wouldn't be doing any whitelisted GA at the moment. I haven't done one yet because I was waiting to have at least a dozen people in my whiteliste, but now it growing fairly steadily, so I am now looking for a nice looking non-bundled game to give away. Althought I think giving away bundled game is also nice because the odd are so much better being a limited amount of people on a whitelist plus you're right, it's always nice to discover someone as added you too his/her whitelist:)

I've never whitelisted someone because they whitelisted me first. I have whitelisted them after noticing then from their whitelist of me, but I don't feel compelled to. I clean it out before any whitelist GA's. My criteria is being an exception person.

Well thank you. I honestly didn't think that much of it when I did it, and a lot of it was to help me. That's why I made a lot of GA's at the time as well. It just sucked and still does to watch someone you love struggle and feel helpless watching, doing all you can. Hearing some people be genuinely thankful to have been given games felt like I could add some happiness to the world, and the thread was just another way of attempting to do that as well. I never suggested so many bumps via GA as well, you can thank so many other users for that. Don't tell anyone, but when I get back on my feet financially, I fully intend to do a big GA for every one that contributed, as well as another for the big contributors that helped keep it alive when i struggled to update it weeks at a time. It meant a lot to me that so many people cared about the issue.

I just made a whitelist of people who I've won games from... I'll add them in my small group giveaways.
So far no blacklist. I've thought about a blacklist and would most likely only add someone who won a game from me and didn't mark as received. because giving something away should be fairly straightforward and this would be a hassle and make me sad. I wouldn't want to deal with someone (again) who wouldn't communicate with me. Hopefully I won't ever have to make one. :)

Never have to ask support for received feedback and I hope I never have too; but if someone can't take two seconds too marked received after activating the game, they probably deserve to be on the blacklist. As of now my whitelist is still bigger than my blacklist... so all is well with the world:)

My criteria is simple, I like the person, or I don't. Simple :P
Don't take this too seriously tho, I may like you and you still haven't got your WL pass (yet). Or I don't like you, but you're not in my BL either. There is also the meh kind of people.
I only whitelist4whitelist if it is already a person I know from the forum and fit the criteria. During my 2nd WL GA I've seen myself in WLs from people I never saw in my life, so I didn't WL them back.
But I also created my WL just recently and more of an experiment, so I'll clean it from time to time. Well, not time to time, but someday.

It's great to find yourself whitelisted, but I don't think anybody should take it personnally that they are not whitelisted... I usually add people as I see something I like that they did or just because I feel that they are a nice person, but they're probably a ton of nice people that I have simply not come accross yet and it doesn't mean that I won't add them in the future or that they are not nice...

I whitelist everybody who behaves like a human being.
Which is ultimately random.

i don't really know if i'm on the whitelist of someone, because most whitelist GAs i enter, are also a group GA, for myself i only got good people whitelisted, like people being loyal in group or great gifters on here, also some supporters :)

depends if i notice i've been whitelisted xD, and also who does it. :3
i think there's a huge number of users, specially those that create the w4w threads that expect to be whitelisted because they add people to theirs. -.-
i prefer to whitelist because i like that user and his/her attitude, unrelated to number of GAs made or won.

I'm an impulse whitelister, my concern is rather how do I get them out of the whitelist again... so I weeded out more than 20% today (checked all those that had been on the list for 5 months or more) and am still at about 300 folks on the list :)

I don't as a rule whitelist everyone who whitelists me, but this doesn't really come up very often. More often I see I'm not on the whitelist of people I whitelisted, but I'm totally ok with that. I don't think blacklists and whitelists should be mutual. If I'm blacklisted by people with good profiles I'm not going to blacklist them back. They're welcome to join and win my giveaways (but I'd be curious to know why I was blacklisted). Similarly, whitelists shouldn't be mutual, because it would serve as a backdoor of sorts to get on people's whitelists without deserving it.
Most people reach my whitelist by having good profiles (see link above or a simplified criteria in this recent whitelist recruit thread). Few get there by writing exceptionally interesting, insightful or helpful posts on the forum. In this group there are even some Level 0 users.
I do minimal management of the whitelist, I occasionally check if a random user still passes the sgtools test. I don't do any management of the blacklist and don't plan to worry about it until there's a risk I run out of slots. So far I only have 200 out of 1000, so it'll be a while.

I whitelist people because i WANT TO WL them not because i have to and just because i WL them i don't ask nor expect it in return but i Wl for various reasons and they can read it why they are whitelisted on my ga's :p
some reasons are being a defender of justice and slayer of regifters such as mods /supports
can be because they did an awesome event for lower levels [[yunie winthorp etc]
can be because they brought the community a little bit closer by putting faces on several steam avatars such as Eeve
or to raise a certain awareness to with an event [lonelyness/depression] such as Desertmouse
i won a ga of you and giving u a chance in return [if they check out ok with the sg tools ;p]
can be cause of a funny remark or because i noticed your quite active in eiher SG Chat or SG forums.
And yes some WL me and i WL them back but i don't think one should feel obligated to if they don't want to
Everyone has their reasons to WL or BL one another but main guideline should be is that one DOES NOT ASK to be Whitelisted but one should get whitelisted

With all those whitelist and whitelist 4 whitelist tread lately, I've been wondering; do you whitelist back everyone who whitelist you? I personnally like to whitelist people somewhat randomly (meaning if I see someone with a great ratio or someone who I see say or do something that I liked). But I've been curious; how do you manage your whitelist?
And of course here's the GA: http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/tcGvw/to-be-or-not-to-be
