My last birthday I got bottles of juice since I was so horribly sick that I was unable to eat for a little over three weeks, and another week of little more than thin soups.
Although I did have Pokemon Black 2 on pre order, that came out the day after my birthday. Sure, I couldn't play it, but I did get it.
No Steam games at all, I didn't even have a PC capable of running them at that time.

I'm not begging. I thought of a good topic and it does make sense because I know that many people do get games gifted on steam.

I'm not begging and it didn't come into mind. Unless I write I beg of you to give me a game, then it would be there. Shame on you for assuming without giving a thought. If you do not like this site and do not have it your way, then leave.

I took it to mean 'Do people tend to gift you Steam games when your birthday comes around?'
Comment has been collapsed.
Well people didn't do that to me yet but I saw online that there are people that gift games for a person's birthday

I just give the benefit of the doubt. And not everyone gets games for their birthday, I know I don't. My family refuse to since they claim they will get me something I already own if they don't ask me.
Which might be true, I have hundreds.

But I never begged at all. I never put anything that was related to begging. Read the post again.

But I never said anything about begging. I was asking a simple question on to if anyone have ever got games gifted. DeltaBladeX is answering my question in a great response. If you say begging one more time, I will close this post because some of the responders, INCLUDING YOU!!!, are accusing me that I'm begging WHEN I'M NOT!!!!

Honestly Bacon you're being difficult and a bit of a tool now man, come on dude. I also don't read OP as begging whatsoever. He's raising the issue of "what do you think about getting games as presents?"
Even if he did mean it as begging, sneakily disguised as a real post (by posting "it's my b-day" and hoping for gifts), he's actually replying to posts that discuss the topic politely, and isn't being a douche - you can easily stay polite and on-topic and flat-out ignore the intended beg. Although, again, I see no begging going on here.

Subjective interpretation, twisting someone else's words into what you intend for them to mean to strengthen your own argument. Pathetic, weak behaviour. That's not what he said. He didn't even mention anything about any work. That's what you say he said because that allows you to go "FUCKING BEGGER RARRRRRRR". Also, "indirect begging"? Wtf does that mean? From now on, does mentioning anything about yourself where you complain you're having a rough day or so means you're begging, because you're trying to elicit sympathy? You're being a prejudiced tool.
Further, see my response to chairmankao.

No begging to be seen here, come the fuck on man. He's raising a topic, and leading in to it by giving context in the form of first saying it's his b-day - hence he thought of "hmmm, what do you all think about receiving steam games instead of gifts? Discuss."

From what I read it says "Today is my birthday. Everyone gets presents on their birthday. Why don't you give me steam games?"

..
Learn to read.
"..everyone gets presents for their birthday. But.." is what he said. In other words, he's refering to conventional physical presents, then asking what users think about Steam gifts, instead.
Also, in no other part of his posts is he making any attempt at creating a reason for others to give him free games, or is he asking for anything other than opinions and thoughts. He's not going "it's my birthday and noone gave me any presents, QQ" to ellicit gifts from others or anything.
Once again, he's simply stating it's his b-day as a way to start off his post and segue in to his thought about "oh but what about steam gifts?"

Thanks for making sense because thats what I'm been trying to tell some people

One thing I must ask though - on your deviantart profile it says "25/Male/United States". Somehow, I really don't believe this. I've been defending you so far, but I wonder if my defending you is valid. You've not been very active in the thread so far, and make a bunch of grammatical errors, of the kind I usually see from Russian people. It would seem you're pretending to be US-based for some reason.

Agreed on this interpretation. Otherwise, why bother posting? It's a dumb question with an obvious answer.

I cannot believe the rampant idiocy in this thread.
1) It's not a dumb question, some might say stuff like DeltaBladeX said - "..not everyone gets games for their birthday, I know I don't. My family refuse to since they claim they will get me something I already own if they don't ask me. Which might be true, I have hundreds." A very salient and valid point. Some might argue that getting each other steam wallet codes is the best. Some might say "personal gifts are always better than steam games." Point is, it's a discussable topic, not a dumb question at all.
2) As I already said before: Even if he did mean it as begging, sneakily disguised as a real post (by posting "it's my b-day" and hoping for gifts), he's actually replying to posts that discuss the topic politely, and isn't being a douche - you can easily stay polite and on-topic and flat-out ignore the intended beg like a big boy. Although, again, I see no begging going on here.
In no other part of his posts is he making any attempt at creating a reason for others to give him free games, or is he asking for anything other than opinions and thoughts. He's not going "it's my birthday and noone gave me any presents, QQ" to ellicit gifts from others or anything.
Once again, he's simply stating it's his b-day as a way to start off his post and segue in to his thought about "oh but what about steam gifts?"

Any gift is a nice move, for gamers, steam gifts are a good one.
Happy Birthday BTW.

Sloppy reading skills and (logical due to high number of idiots on this site) prejudice makes it look like begging. I still see no begging here.

You can, if you consciously choose to. If you take 2 seconds more to read it, you'll see what I already said to MrBacon and chairmankao.

So apparently today (2-10) is my birthday and I turn 25. But, I want to bring this up because everyone gets presents for their birthday. But what about getting steam games, whether purchasing or as gifted from anyone?
