I often put music on repeat as background noise while I get something done. This is basically that. The point isn't to sit and watch the video for ten hours, and you'd have to be dense to assume that it is. It's just a song on repeat for as long as you need it. Be it twenty minutes or a few hours, and it's unlikely the viewer is actually sitting there staring at it for the entire time.

Whenever I'm done with the writing, I'm done with the video. I've never done the entire ten hours unless I've fallen asleep in the middle of it.

The thing is, some people like to have background noise while doing some intellectual work (like studying, writing code, and so on) and Youtube, as cool as it is, does not have "always repeat auto ON" option, so... you play one of these and forget about it for 10 hours.

I don't get it either. The weird thing is, a friend of mine created one of those. He found it entertaining to see how long people could last listening to it and found it amusing that I asked him to turn it off after less than a minute.

1) I imagine it's not that hard to make a clip repeat in whatever free, malware-infested video editing program is most available to 12 year-olds. I could write a bash script to do it all automatically.
2) No-one sits and "watches" it all. If they say they have, guess what, they're lying.
3) If something, anything, on the internet becomes popular, a million other people try and emulate that "success" because they want to be the next Rebecca fucking Black.
