Oh, I always thought that "dank" was a word that a 5 year old kid made to describe how awesome he thought his meme was. :P

Nah, blame potheads for pushing this into pop culture. Seems the more potent breeds of weed tend to have a musty smell not unlike a dank basement. So "dank" is another term for "good stuff" in that subculture. Of course after a few hits it might start making sense to call other things dank as well.

So people are frantically using a word that burnouts invented? Oh, wow, this shows a lot about the current generation. It's not like I expected that a serious person would have invented this word, but nevermind. :P

The kid who invented the word "Bae" created a meme and wanted the world to know how awesome it is and came up with the word "dank" to describe it.

Now all the cool gangsta kids doing dabs and nae naes all the time to show the world how cool it is, follows the trend. word n£££a. Word!
