Steam has removed the feature “/me” in its new latest update.

For those of you that did not know what this is, it lets you type in green or blue, depending on whether you’re in-game or online.

If you’re wondering why it was removed, it was because of scammers. There was a trick where the scammer would say that the wallet funds would be transferred to your account after you have given your items. Sadly, many users fell for this and as a result, it is now gone.

This is very very sad. :/

But my bf and I use /me for cybersex ;_;
If someone is retarded enough to get scammed because their text is blue instead of white, then they deserve it

"it lets you type in green or blue, depending on whether you’re in-game or online."

So, just... make it NOT type in any particular color? Why remove it completely? The main draw is that it gets rid of the semicolon next to your name, not that it changes the color of your text, although that did help differentiate between normal text and that special command.

Why is it sad? It's kind of an entirely non-essential feature that got removed because its sole use was for scammers to keep scammin.
