I'm just curious what were these reasons.
Because you asked why, that's why muhahahaha.

Yeah, I doubt there's an actual logical explanation for this, but "blacklist" put into a thread title is always a trigger for some people here (apparently they perceive this word as a call for action). It would be curious to listen to their reasons indeed.

If genuinely curious, probably should've added a poll with a few general categories like:

I haven't but then I couldn't as you are friends with too many cool folks I'm friends with too. :P

I was about to whitelist you for this thread. Instead I've noticed, that you were already on it. Strange, how so many people also wrote this before me xD
Can't tell you the reason for it, but you must have been a very nice guy to get whitelisted.
On blacklist topic, just don't care about it. There's so many strange, silly people out there in this world. Trying to care about it(them) is just a waste of time.
Good luck on getting blacklisting peoples reply here, though.

It doesn't depend on type of comments you make only.. wining a game, or just existing in this world can put you on someones blacklist :)
speaking from personal experience ;_;

I'd imagine it was because you are a palindrome. People hate palindromes.

Just ignore them. Some people BL over ridiculously petty crap. It is very common when you make any sort of discussion post with anything resembling an opinion or even asking a question (ironically posts about BL's are especially targeted as I am guessing you might notice). 9 times out of 10, there will be someone who reads into your post/reply something unintended or charges it with a motive/agenda/tone that is not there or somehow sees it as offensive. There are also people who BL to prevent people winning GAs from them more than once, for spamming their inbox with "thank you" on GAs they have only entered but not won, to exclude suspected scammers, to exclude people who didn't meet some random or subjective gifting criteria, and probably a dozen other reasons.
Bottom line: it is not worth your time to cater to or try to appease everyone. just try to be decent with people in general; most will be decent back and the few who aren't are not worth your time or consideration (and why would you want things from someone who regards you contemptuously anyway?).
Side note: for anyone who hasn't checked their BL in awhile, I recommend considering a mass pardon periodically. Mine had grown a bit and I reluctanty decided to try removing everyone recently. While I did later end up adding anyone I was able to confirm had already BL'd me first, I have to say that overall it is a very refreshing feeling to clear it out and not worry about it so much. My BL now only has 6 people (all of whom had me BL'd) and I may even decide to clear that out eventually as well. For GAs, sgtools / region-settings and especially whitelist / groups can be combined to effectively restrict if you are still that worried and don't want them to get freebies from you.
Edit: also, to clarify, I am 99% sure that you were not on my BL even before I cleared it.
Edit #2
Sorry, had missed the part about Disclaimer: I know blacklist threads cause more blacklists, you don't have to worry about that :) I've done it on purpose.
on my first read. Strange. I wonder if you did this purely from curiosity or with the intent of having people who would BL you end up effectively blocking themselves from your GAs or for some other reasons? :-)

No need to block people who blacklisted you nowadays – they block themselves :) If you will blacklist me, you will be automatically unable to join my giveaways too. And it's not like I'm doing many giveaways nowadays anyway ;)
I did it out of curosity :)

True enough. Suppose I should have clarified that I was being a tad bit petty myself in that they would remain on my BL even if they unblocked me (but as I said, I may revise this later). Honestly, I wouldn't mind if SG just plainly listed who BL'd you but I suppose that even if enough people agreed with me that there are more important features and little enough time/resources/incentive for CG to implement them.

I blacklisted you for 2 reasons
Reason number 1: I didn't
Reason number 2: If you're confused, refer to reason number 1

While I kinda understand why someone would be curious to know the reason(s), I doubt those who've blacklisted you would have the balls to post on this thread. I assume doing so could get them to land on blacklists themselves and they probably don't want that. With that being said, has anyone who bl-ed you actually messaged you in one of your old giveaways to give some kind of explanation?
So... did you create this thread to get blacklisted? I mean, you know that talking about blacklists is bound to get you some more... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe I should do just that. I've been blacklisted only 42 times. It feels like I'm not one of the cool kids. :3

Unfortunately nobody has responded to me, neither here or on Steam. Making a comment in an old giveaway wouldn't be possible since blacklisting me automatically blacklist them back, therefore they have no access to my giveaways.
How many times have you encountered a giveaway you couldn't join because you were blacklisted?

Oh, damn... sorry for the brain fart. For some reason, I had completely forgotten about the blacklisters not being able to access giveaways created by the blacklisted people. [insert major facepalm here] >.<
Hmm, I don't think that's ever happened. But then again, I don't enter that many giveaways. What about you?

I'm sure you've had fair reasons, I'm just curious what were these reasons.
If you blacklist me because of this thread I'd also be grateful for feedback – was it because I talk about blacklist or something else only you've found out about me just now, or something else?
It is also interesting why you did remove me out of your blacklist (either now or in the past) or why you've changed your mind about putting me on your blacklist, if either of these happened.
Disclaimer: I know blacklist threads cause more blacklists, you don't have to worry about that :) I've done it on purpose.
