Abortion is a serious discussion? I tough it's a choice of the female who wants to do it, because it's her own body that gets affected by it. Not the government, not even the male who got her pregnant the first place... So I don't see that as a serious matter... But come to think of it, people make drama of everything these days, so nvm...

And yet again biology proves that it's not a person until a certain month, which doesn't make it murder and I don't see why one should suffer the burden for something she doesn't want and then to be forced to take care for this burden and the same time risking own life, because even with the modern medicine there is still a chance of death for the one caring the child the first place. And yet, imagine if this is the case for a 14 year old or a 16 year old victim of unwanted sexuality. Should this STILL child, have to risk losing its life, for someone others sins? This subject in my opinion, shouldn't even be a subject the first place. Democracy, that's the problem. People believe in this false freedom and think they have the power and are allowed to put their noses in other peoples business and health. ^^

Abortion is a very serious issue and it does have profound effects on the father (there have been books written on the psychological impacts of adoption on birth fathers), but it shouldn't be a topic of debate. It's ridiculous to consider abortion to be murder (https://youtu.be/fUspLVStPbk) or less humane than forcing a woman to sustain a parasitic organism that is unviable without her not only before birth but for several years afterward. This is one of many problems that have arisen because the descendants of a group of religious extremists got lucky with mineral resources when they settled what was to become USA for their land of religious intolerance.

You should tell that to folks who think abortion is bad and poor random rapist father who got a girl on the street pregnent... We need to be tolerant with him and make the girl keep the baby so he doesnt get an emotional breakdown, poor him! Q_Q OR poor father who ran away when he found his girlfriend is pregnent, poor him aswell... You're right, the emotional breakdown for the fathers is so much the same as a females body going totally under REKT state and ending up completly different and broken, even if the girl doesnt know it after the first few years, it comes out all in a sudden after time. But hey, you can get wider butts thanks to birth! That's a thing 2016, isnt it? 10/10? sigh, shoot me

Huh? Firstly, I'm saying that women should be able to choose whether or not they want to commit to having a child. Secondly, my point that men are in fact affected does not refer to mystery rapists: I'm talking about the men that become unwilling fathers when abortion is denied. Do you really think that aborting, raising, or giving away a child makes no difference at all to the father? Even deadbeat players don't want to become deadbeat dads, forced to either raise a child that they have neither the interest nor the means to, or give up a significant proportion of their pre-tax income for 18 years to pay somebody else to raise a child they didn't want either. Terminating a pregnancy is never taken lightly by either party. If a woman is forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term, the child must either be raised by parents or a parent that didn't want to, generally because they feel unable to provide a suitable environment, or it must be given away, which is also psychologically traumatic for the mother, the child, and the father (https://amzn.com/1843100126) not only at the time of adoption but also two decades later when DNA technology allows the child to track down the birth parents and ask for an explanation.

Okay you're right! He used his own semen to get her pregnant! What a waste, he could of so easily blown it out to some hot porn movie... Such mental breakdown. Poor fathers. pat pat :p
Never compare the pain females suffer naturally both physically and mentally, compared to a male... a male life is easy until he doesn't have to start working and feed a family, which is becoming rare these days, because most males are punks...

What are you on about?
You don't seem to be aware that couples generally speak to each other about the prospect of having children. Did you think it is just something a woman decides to do or not do without discussion and regardless of her lover's opinion?

It could happen if you decide to spring your "our child has nothing to do with you" philosophy on a man after becoming pregnant. I've heard men working on the Australian mines, bitter that almost a third of their pre-tax income is garnished to pay for children they never get to see, remark that if they'd killed the mother, they would have been free after 7 years instead of being sentenced to 18 years of torture. There aren't many guns in this country, but an engineer that I worked with abducted his children from the estranged mother and threw them down a disused mineshaft a couple of thousand miles away. The point is that regardless of your opinion, and that of the father, the courts of most countries consider the biological father to be financially responsible for raising a child until adulthood.
You only seem to be considering abortion in abstract terms or only in certain circumstances. Most unwanted pregnancies are a result of ineffective birth control within loving relationships, not rape. Even when condoms are used properly, they are only 98% effective at preventing pregnancy, so a couple that is using condoms as birth control and having sex four times per week is statistically expected to have an unwanted pregnancy after 6 months, and that's if they use them properly every time. The stats tell us that when things like the impromptu quickie are accounted for, the real world effectiveness of condoms is only about 82%. An unwanted pregnancy is always a life-altering scenario, and most women consider the prospect of an abortion to be quite traumatic, not like the casual purchase of a handbag to simply take upon herself without discussion. There are associated risks to the woman's health and fertility, as well as the agonising psychological issues of guilt about the child and concern that the decision is the correct one. The stigma about abortion intensifies the stress because the woman feels unable to discuss her problems openly. Who do you think most women in this situation turn to for support?
Now before you get all worked up again about the health implications of pregnancy on the woman, note that despite disagreeing with your opinion that men are unaffected by the availability of abortions, I agree with you that the woman should be free to decide whether to carry a pregnancy to term or terminate it. I agree that it is offensive for religious nuts to argue that this decision should be taken away from her by the state and I agree that it should therefore not be a topic for debate.

Some people in my country say "The good-life for women ends with age 30 (reason: they won't get prettier) and for men it starts with age 30 (reason: they'll become more handsome)" so you got another 4 years and 10 months to go :)
they actually say it but it's bull ;)
Also 25 upwards (at least in my country) there's a lot more chances to actually meet people with whom you can have decent conversations. I'm 23 and I can't wait to get older because there are too less mature people in my age range. maturity doesn't equal being serious all the time ;)

I was thinking that this was sounding like a nice group to meet people in, but I have to say the rules had some troubling parts to them.
No rude/offensive/disgusting names or profile pictures. You will be banned immediately if this is seen.
Banned immediately? That's damn harsh, isn't it, specially since there is no way to know what is considered rude/offensive/disgusting to the person doing the banning.
RP (roleplay) is prohibited. Offering it or asking for it will result in a permanent ban.
What. Why would someone looking for roleplay partners be permabanned... What sort of sense does that make.
Failure to be accepting of the gender, nationality, creed, religion, beliefs, sexuality, etc… of a member will result in a permanent ban for good; no exceptions.
Awkward wording in this one? These things are simply not something a group can force a person to be accepting of, rather group can ask user to be tolerant or simply not engage with people who have beliefs they do not agree with. For an example, there's been trends on the internet lately where people claim their gender to be pretty much anything, someone will say their gender is stars but it doesn't mean anyone they say it to has to accept stars as the person's gender, the best they can do is tolerate the claim and simply not argue.
Don't harass members; this includes personal attacks, jabs, quotes, or even things said in jest.
Sounds like an accident waiting to happen. If jokingly made jabs can get you banned then that's just... well, sounds like an attempt to babysit discussions in a group where people should be mature enough to take jokes as jokes. Real harassment and personal attacks are of course a different matter.
The secret word is childsplay.
....what?
Links of any kind should be brought to the attention of a moderator before posting.
Isn't this incredible overloading on the moderators? Not to mention it seems really unnecessary and again like babysitting.
If you say or do something that may offend or annoy an admin or moderator or it’s something that may be seen in a negative way; don't do it!
"Don't annoy a mod or admin, even by accident, or you'll get banned! Just shut up and make sure admin and mods are pleased!"
Being told that you'd better hold your tongue on things that might annoy a mod sounds already like a red flag. Member shouldn't be in danger of getting kicked just because they personally annoy a mod, only if they break rules.

To be honest I'm just going to take those down. I mentioned in this thread earlier those were rules laid out by a previous Admin. I haven't gotten around to actually editing it so until I do I'm just going to remove it for now. The previous admin was pretty controlling in a lot of procedures but I don't operate that way.

Ah, I missed that comment from you earlier. Good to hear you're planning to edit/rewrite the rules.

I saw my group on steamgifts but not sure how to access it as owner to host a giveaway. OR should this be done with my account? How can I make sure its group members only?

Hello, everyone!

UPDATE:
SteamGifts Whitelist
You may or may not be familiar with the SteamGift whitelist feature. To make things more interesting with giveaways I have decided to reserve my whitelist for active members of this group. If you actively visit the forums, group comments, discord, or in-game servers, please send me a message (preferably on discord: Alaeri or in my profile to add you for SG info) so that I may add you to my whitelist. This active member whitelist will be given flash giveaways at random times for high demand / new release games such as Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Elder Scrolls, The Witcher, Fallout, etc. This is to award the members that actively participate in making this community a more welcoming and enjoyable place to be. It also gives a higher chance of winning with fewer entries. Hopefully everyone will be excited for this :)
The discord channel is not as heavily required to be a certain age, as it accompanies multiple groups to one discord. Not all groups in our network are 21+ So feel free to join no matter the age just keep in mind that there are still rules and guidelines on how to interact with each other in the chat.
A few networks have joined together for a partnership with “The Adult Gamers” to help expand the reach for this new project. The idea is TAGs is interested in creating a network that expands more than just a topic, but rather, an audience. A more mature or “later in life” audience. The preferred age is 21+ but we welcome 20+ as long as the maturity is there. TAGs will become a sort of catalyst for all partners in the network for their more mature and touchy discussions. Such as culture, race, sex, terrorism, etc. The forums will not be the only focus for TAGs however. Once our network is expanded we will have private servers/groups for Ark, Minecraft, CS:GO, GTA, etc.
This means adult players in similar life-stages building communities and interacting in-game. We will have leaders of this community to help maintain these servers and groups. Within game we will hold competitions and events to win Steam game codes/gifts as well as other prizes. Along with multi-group discussion and in-game competitions/events, TAGs will sponsor a few giveaways in other networks as well. Below are a few links to get started if you are 20+ and interested in joining this network or have older friends that are-- please share and spread the word!
For a limited time this group is open to public without invite. An admin or co-owner position is going to open up in a few months depending on activity and ability to manage and participate ^^
