Obviously we're talking about your opinion.

That's not the case you don't like the genre, but you admit it's a good game. Try to tell why the game is really bad, despite having a lot of good reviews. Or they're not even different enough to deserve their reputation, especially if there are games which do the same stuff a lot better.

Mine is GTA (all of them). Going to places is boring, driving system is terrible, missions are not fun, you just keep repeating the same things. "Open-world" is a lie, since you don't do more than commiting crimes when you try to get out of the missions line or doing stupid common stuff like driving around the city, watching short movies or listening to the radio, which, come on, could make it get called a "real life simulator". For me, it's a whole world which pretends to give you freedom you don't have.

Hero of Many. This came out a few years back, everyone was raving about it, in my activity feed I saw all my friends buying it so I got it too (yeah, I know, don't say it). Man, was it boring, repetitive, inscrutable, full of artificial challenges. I just don't get it. Now on my abandoned list, a drain on my completion percentage. :-(

Not sure if can be stupid/bad games with excellent reviews. Not without something fishy around. It happened before (Driver 3 cof cough)

I think that could be average, and have good reviews, or a game that is not my cup of tea, and I don't understand the hype. I think that the CoD games fall in this category for me.

portal series -> most overrrated game i saw in steam, there's just one thing, the cake it's a lie. once you read that phrase you saw all the game can offer + some easyyyy puzzles.

this game it's the live proof where you don't need do a nice game but just have some fanboys that talk well about your game.

Torchlight and Torchlight 2.

Don't get me wrong, they are well made games. But years ago I played Diablo 1 and 2 constantly. Torchlight feels extremely derivative.
