it is against the steam ToS to sell/trade accounts.
Whats stopping the original account holder from getting their account back via steam support?

Oh, I know why.
The question is, do you?
And if you seriously do not, then please just try turning it off and never turning it back on again.

  • Most sites, including this one do not accept users trading or selling their accounts.
  • Valve also do not accept it, and have been known to ban accounts for it.

Like most online accounts it is listed in the Terms of Service that you agree to when you register that the account remains the property of the company, therefore selling the account will result in a permanent ban if they find out.

Valve doesnt accept it but i know many peoples that did it without any problem lol
The main reason is because if someone buy your account, the money will go in your pocket instead of Steam's pocket. lol

What does having a gift have to do with selling your account?

It would be interesting to see what would actually happen if this ended up in court. In the EU at least the current laws are a bit unclear in this regard. You are not allowed to prohibit the re-selling of digital goods, but Valve have worded their ToS in such a way that it's more like a rental service, you don't actually own the games that you buy, you're just paying for the privilege of playing them. So what would actually happen if someone were to take this to court?

Depends on where you try to trade it.
Obv it won't work on steam, but it's not illegal. Can't answer two questions with one answer tho so the poll is irrelevant.

but it's not illegal.

It is here also. So I guess maybe go elsewhere.

Poor Sergey so mad. It's not illegal because Steamgifts is not a jurisdiction. But what would you know about the law, internet fraudster?

For someone like you, internet would need to be capitalized because it relieved you of the burden of having to go door to door to defraud the elderly.
