[SOLUTION POSTED] I stole a puzzle!

But never mind that. I found a piece of the edge!

Solution

As mentioned in the title, I stole this puzzle idea from Kingdom of Loathing. (Go create your free account and check it out, you'll probably not regret it.)

There were five pieces in total:

  1. Right here.
  2. Hidden in the source code of my first reply here as an imgur code.
  3. Hidden in my single comment on my first (public) giveaway.
  4. In plain sight in my Steam profile, as an imgur code.
  5. In plainer sight in my Steam profile, as a screenshot.

The five pieces, when put together like a puzzle, formed the five-char giveaway code, only mirrored.
The trick was that two jagged edges did not align with anything else and two of the pieces were separated with a straight cut.

When assembled, the code looked like this.
