After having ignored Steam sales for a long time, I went ahead and splurged a little this time. Gotta do something with this card money at one point, right? Here's the loot:

Kena: Bridge of Spirits \o/✨
Our Mountain
Florence
Wolcen - Lords of Mayhem
Whateverland

Some of them I wanted to play for a very long time (Kena, Florence, Wolcen), two were just grabs in the moment, becaue they looked lovely and they were cheap (Mountain & Whateverland).
However, super happy with my purchases this time around.

Arguably a AAAAA game if Skull and Bones is AAAA:) Just as info to potential buyers DD2 Deluxe is a whopping 15 bucks cheaper at gamebillet than on Steam and yes, gemebillet is a legit store.

I have bought GTFO since my friends wanted to play it and it's recently had its last content update

GTFO gets unnoticed a lot, I heard it is really good but also really hard. For unknown reasons, I mix up The Ascent and GTFO a lot, mainly because of the game banner similarities.

It's very old-school "git good or git out", there's basically no progression and very few checkpoints (most Rundowns have none), so it's been brutal for now

I started playing something similar recently, not sure if it is easier or harder than GTFO but it is Ready or Not. Been having a blast with a few buddies. Not sure why I brought it up but they are very different games that require a lot of teamwork. Would recommend too.

Didn't expect to see Ready or Not, a tactical shooter that advertises its realism, get compared with GTFO, horror extraction shooter with big monsters and stuff. 😆

I mean they both require excruciating amounts of teamwork and they are both horror games, well Ready or Not barely advertises itself as a "horror tactical first person shooter" but that it is. It is bone chillingly scary having your one and only teammate die to a well played suspect and have to approach the complex alone, unnerving. They are quite similar in its core, like, they both are very difficult games and arguably GTFO is harder, and they are both very multiplayer friendly games too. The gameplay and style is just vastly different, like you wouldn't call Dishonored or Assassin's Creed the same game, but they are similar in nature (please don't publicly execute me for this remark I haven't played either I couldn't come up with a better example........).

Bahaha, I won't, but maybe someone will. 😆
I get what you mean though, it's horror because there's a psychological tension. What I meant is that one has real-life weapons and you need to try and arrest suspects and think before you shoot because it might be a civilian, while the other has big pew pew and big monsters that give little space to doubt regarding appearance. Maybe GTFO/Payday 2? Noticed you in the Golden Grin giveaway. 👀

Edit: my point (with the previous message) wasn't that you're right or wrong, I just wanted to say that I found it funny; I'm not trying to argue or anything. 😅

Avid fan of Payday 2 a while back, still have the humble bundle keys for the Big Score bundle for my dad. GTFO and Payday 2 don't really compare in my opinion, there is no real horror, at all (except the 20000000$ civilian cost) and the shooting isn't high risk at all. In Payday 2 the only real difficulty and fear comes in with stealth heists (big PTSD from that one museum heist) and maybe like Meltdown which is that one really horrible loud heist, in a good way actually, it's fun. Payday 2 doesn't punish the player when killing civilians as much as Ready or Not does, since you can't AT ALL COST shoot and kill a civilian in Ready or Not, even one killed can result in an F rank. In Payday 2 you just pay a fine of like 2$ and you are good, no inconvenience at all.

If you still play Payday 2 and you feel like you need a hand, hit me up! No guarantee I'm any good on stealth but I am good to go loud and clear.

except the 20000000$ civilian cost

Which doesn't even matter past Infamy 5... 💀
That one museum heist? The Diamond? I think I played that like... 3 times? 😆

But, yeah. Payday isn't horror (if you don't count the Halloween levels and Zealdozers). I meant the "extraction" shooter part (because, when you think about it, Loud mission are just extraction shooters with extra steps). Also, maybe horde? I don't know how many monsters there are in GTFO. 😅

I'm kind of on a Payday 2 hiatus at the moment, but maybe soon! I won it here last year... And played it for 300 hours, and I don't even own any DLCs. 😭

The OTHER museum heist, I didn't play The Diamond because we never got to it. You don't need any DLC but it limits you greatly, especially with cosmetics. Some DLC guns are really overpowered but I think you can do just fine without. Payday 2 is so fun to boot up in once in a while and play some fun loud heist like that one safehouse one. Death wish is so much better than DS/OD, I would've stopped playing ages ago if I only played DS/OD.

So, the Art Gallery? 😅
I don't mind cosmetics DLCs (I actually wish there was a cheaper "collection" bundle that only has heists so I don't have to pay for cosmetics), I already have the outfit I want. 😆
And yeah, I can barely survive in Loud DW for now, depending on the maps... But Stealth? DSOD all the way. 😌
About the civilian cost, reminds me of the first time I played a Bank Heist with a high Infamy random on DSOD. I was trying super hard to get the drill to the vault unnoticed, and he just slaughtered the entire bank, I was like :pikawow:. 😭

If I meant Art Gallery I would've meant Art Gallery, I meant the OTHER museum heist. I like cosmetics and most of my favorite ones came with the big score bundle. High infamies in Payday 2 are most often than not cheated in, if it is like over 250 usually. I've met some legit infamy 500 people too and they are super chill. Most players who reach the final infamy tend to just not really try as hard anymore. Big Bank was brutal, it took us so long to get it perfectly and once we mastered it, it was easy sailing.

But... What other museum heist?? 😭 Unless you mean the Shacklethorne Auction??? (Not a museum, but tons of stuff displayed...)
Half of my "main" outfit (classy outfit for the stealth loadout) comes from anniversary events, hehe.
Also yeah, most of the nice randoms I've come across were super high Infamy... But some of the most toxic too, "no time for noobs" mentality. :')
I've had fun on Big Bank! Perfect example where I've met both types of high Infamy, first time I did it I got insulted because I made the alarm go off right at the end on DSOD, I died just before we completed the heist, and later on got with super nice people that explained all the details (because yeah the first ones were calling me dumb while not explaining anything). 😆

Trust me when I say, ready or not is baby shit to GTFO I play with a group of friends on ready or not and we sometimes die but its so fun, ran a duo in GTFO (which yknow not good idea but no one was on) anddd we got splattered every time around the same area. I liked it a lot though but very griddy

I've heard that GTFO is a game you pick up with a few friends like one afternoon just to have fun and then you skip forward 5 hours and you don't want to see each other for the next 2 weeks. Then the cycle repeats. Ready or Not is so damn fun though, death is inevitable and I am usually not even mad when I die. If you are a man who can endure GTFO then Ready or Not for you is like what Payday 2 is for me. Ready or Not is a game you can totally go solo on smaller and easier maps and maybe harder maps with AI teammates and going duo in Ready or Not is good too, but it gets really easy when there is 4 of you but it can be hard to focus and guide the team. GTFO is something you can probably ONLY play with a full team, sure you can go duo or solo but it is HELL. To quote a friend in his own words, "GTFO is like a PBJ without the bread and butter and it's just nuts.".

I couldn't have said any of this better, especially since I'm in the type of group that eventually ends up yelling at eachother each game session. Dying in ready or not just feels like you learn from your mistake and begin to understand the map better for next time. But I will never forget how my trio first played ready or not and we thought it was the hardest game ever, yet the most fun, we tried to beat that complex construction building before V.1 update came out for 3 hours. It was the first time I've ever been so immersed into something that I felt i was really a cop giving callouts to my partners. GTFO on the other hand is a game you need a dedicated friend group for though as you will not beat it alone without ripping your skin apart.

You have no idea how cool it is to get immersed into Ready or Not, I played with a public quad squad and we had a leader, 1 front man and 2 back up men (one of them was me). It felt so cool when the leader cleared out the halls and gave callouts, something that Call of Duty couldn't satisfy. I ended up being the last man standing and had to clear out the few remaining enemies and I somehow clutched the entire mission with a good play. GTFO is something I'd love to get into, but I don't enjoy the game style that much, like the sci-fi aspect. I like realism and more monochrome games, I think that's the best way to describe it. I am sort of contradicting myself here since I would love to play Helldivers 2 with my buddies but then again GTFO doesn't seem all that interesting to me, mostly because of how the game looks. I also don't have a dedicated enough friend group who would endure the torture of GTFO, myself included. We need to play Ready or Not sometime, you seem like an awesome guy. If you still somehow kept that trio together I could be your 4th wheel, stabilize the team a bit.

Well i understand why you'd want to play helldivers 2, its simply easier to play and not as difficult and attention heavy as GTFO, frankly I'd also buy GTFO for everything but the hardcore aspect, since my friends get tired of the losing tragically every second aspect. But yeah its difficult when a game is so good but if you want to have the best experience you need friends who're into the same genres as you, and frankly I still struggle getting friends into some of these multiplayer games. But if i re install ready or not I'll let you know and we can try a duo.

Sick, GTFO is pretty difficult, also why I shy away from most "difficult soulslike" games too. Pretty surprising how a game as good looking as Ready or Not is only 50 GB. They did a heck of a job on the graphics and even better on gameplay.

Got a lot of cards that I've managed to sell and got myself some good "discounts" so without making this longer than necessary : A Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA, Prodeus and Ground Control Anthology.
I'm a big sucker for total war games so it was about time I get this historical title. For prodeus... tbh I got it cause it reminds me of DOOM and GCA, was cheap and looked interesting :))

Used almost the last bit of a Steam gift card from a colleague to get The Orange Box. I don't normally reward companies who leave off on cliffhangers (not once but twice!) but I've been meaning to get it for years and my old retail copy of HL2 is linked to a now-long lost old Steam account so it will be nice to play again, even if we'll never likely get a conclusion.

The Light Remake
Lunar Axe
Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy for all the DLC for Shadow of tTR and Rise of tTR (personalized price)

Really been eyeing Wolcen - Lords of Mayhem, but considering the discount and the reviews, it may just be bundled, and I'm not really short on ARPGs, but I'll keep an eye on it - maybe next sale.
Overall two short but interesting looking games, and more of Tomb Raider, I really liked the reboot, so I may get around playing them soon.

Was a bit lucky that my bday is right during the sale, so got some gifts, and steam moneys to use. The haul is as follows:
Imposter Factory, Dirt Rally 2.0 GOTY DLC, Pizza Possum, The Saboteur for the nostalgia, To The Moon, Death's Door, Journey, Kaze and the Wild Masks, Peace, Death! 2 Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Napoleon Total War also for some nostalgia points, and I got GoW, Ghost of Tsushima, and the AC 2.5D Trilogy as gifts. So, not a bad start to Spring when all was said and done.

Do plan on not buying anything for the rest of the year. Maybe one, or two (mainly depending on how I feel about the game when it comes out), more.
