So I readed a lot of posts everywhere on the itnernet but as Rockstar hadn`t officialy confirmed its realease on PC I am still really confused...

Do you think there will be a PC version?

I think there'll be a PC version, at some spot. It's Rockstar we're talking about, and the only game they've really not put up later on PC is Red Dead -series - that never was on PC to begin with, right?

GTA IV had a pc release, no reason for GTA V not to have one.

But it probably wont be on the same date as the Console Release.

There will be a PC version in winter or so. Why do even people believe GTA V isn't coming to PC lol. You seriously think Rockstar doesn't want a easy 10million copies sold on PC? They just gonna pass it? So yeah probably winter like 3 months later after the original release on playstation like it has always been.

The game has incredible graphics, by my opinion there will be a PC version that is going to be very demanding on system requirments!

It runs on consoles, how demanding can it be?! lol Cause I doubt they would polish it anymore than that, they'll just port it to pc.

They passed it with Red Dead Redemption, so...

That's because RDR was made by a different R* studio which never makes PC games.

They could just give it to another R* studio for porting

I don't think GTA IV sold anywhere near 10 million on PC. Hardly any PC game reaches those numbers. Still a PC port is not expensive enough that it won't make profits from even just 1 million copies sold.

PC Release= not much work, but much money

so why not

I have absolutely no idea why everyone is getting their pants wet.PC version always came out after the console debut since like GTA III.

No PC version for RDR. Such a shame.

As i know - RDR has very specific, gamepad-based controls. But many of PC users plays on keyboards and it's one of the reasons.

Many console games with "very specific gamepad-based controls" get ported to the PC. (ie. every console racing game that gets ported, DmC, Darksiders 1 & 2, GTA 3 series etc. and pretty much everything that requires analog input by design.) What those ports have in common is a keyboard & mouse setup that absolutely sucks balls, and (if it's a game from 2006 or later) gamepad support because Windows works with Xbox 360 controllers anyway.

So that's no excuse to not port RDR.

As far as I know red dead revolver never came to the pc too.I don't think the particular rockstar studio who did Red Dead games just do them for pc is all.

heres my prediction on gta v. the hardcore fans will rage about how awesome it is, because they ALWAYS will, no matter how the game turns out, but the sad fact will be that the franchise will continue its inextricable slide towards grey blandness with a dull stodgy serious tone like san andreas started and gta 4 cemented. meanwhile the people who still love fun colourful wacky games, will be pinning all their hopes on deep silver managing to magically NOT screw up saints row 4.

and to tie this wonderful little rant neatly in with the question, all this will occur on the pc version, which may - or may not - happen :)

At least Saints Row 4 will be on PC when it hits, what the hells wrong with Rockstar? They pick and choose what to put up...

"Ok guys you can have Max Payne 3 and LA Noire but not GTAV or Red Dead Redemption"

Seriously....

LA Noire came a bit later. And on Max Payne.. Fuck, a game that started on PC, not coming for the PC at the beginning? Shame on them.. lol. And I guess, people might run from pirating a 25GB game. Not me. I'll buy it later.

LA Noire, don't remember the date of release of that one and GTA was originally released on PC first(99% sure) so if we go by that logic.....It should be on PC day 1.

GTA, London, and GTA 2 were first released on PC, then ported to consoles. GTA 3 was the first game released first on consoles (transition between 2D and 3D). They treat them differently ever since.

I would still say that counts and Rockstar is pretty shitty for not sticking with it, but thats my opinion on it I guess...

And I get your opinion, I even would like it better that way too. But put yourself in their position, where they try to release great games, and from the beginning, people just pirate the game. There's always those who can't wait, so, if they own a console, they'll buy it right away. Heck, I did it 2 times when I owned a PS3 (before trashing it trying to crack it xD).

People pirate consoles games also(Fun fact: Games usually get pirated faster on consoles), but thats a whole other conversation.

Yeah, so differently that GTA3 on Steam is still broken. I had to use a cracked exe to fix the dark cars bug. Are you kidding me? WTF?

Lol, shit happens. But they do make some shitty ports of their games but not the worst I've seen. They try to spend the least time possible on that, so that they can focus on developing newer games. The only things that matters on their ports is making the game playable and making a weak video and audio settings, just so they can say there's one. But we still play them right? xD

Thats the reason I feel odd about buying the games on Steam, I would like them but I am not gambling my money....

Yes there will be. They only give consoles some exclusive time, because they earn more money there. When the cash flow grows weaker.. BOOM, PC version out. Rockstar has been doing this for a while xD. I'm still waiting for Red Dead Redemption, but my hopes are low for that one. I bought it for PS3, but I would buy it again for PC.

There will be clunky, terribly optimised port a year after consoles release. That's my guess :P

There will be a PC version and it will be (again) one if the crappiest ports ever. Thats just Rockstars thing.

I'm totally sure there will be a PC version...but after 3-4 months after console release...they're gonna lose money if they don't release this game on PC and i'm sure they can't afford a loss like this :)

There will be a PC version about maybe 1 year later. Then another 1-2 years before its patched enough to be playable.

Probably, and there will be lots of shitty DLC packs to buy. This is the case: GAME COSTS 60 EURO. PLEASE PURCHASE THE SEASON

PASS FOR ANOTHER 20 EURO. WAIT. LET US RELEASE ANOTHER DLC WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SEASON PASS; THAT COSTS ANOTHER 10

EURO!
