The easiest thing to do would be to open a bank account that can be connected to paypal that way you have more options with how you can spend your money because that would let you use either the debit card or a pre paid credit card.

I mean, I love how easy it is to transfer money back and forth between my bank account and paypal. It makes for an easy way to get or send money to friends or family [regardless of where they are] (even if the fees are a bit steeper than some alternatives), and it makes paypal purchasing rather straighforward as well (in opposition to having your paypal purchases tied to a credit card or balance alone).
If there's not a reason why a bank account (with debit card access) can't be linked to the account, then it's definitely the most straighforward and recommendable method of approach.

If I were to transfer the dollars on my PayPal account to my bank account they would automatically convert them to my local currency (pesos argentinos) at the official exchange rate, which about 80% lower than the real market rate (and the bank also charges a commission too) so I would lose a lot of moey, that is why I chose PayPal as the payment method for the job.

You would need a US dollar account to avoid those issues.

Definitely recommend the bank account approach already mentioned, if possible. But if that won't work out, then:
Google recommends acquriing a Paypal Cash card [basically a debit card tied to your Paypal account] when attempting to use Paypal for Amazon purchases, as that can be used on Amazon in the same manner as a credit card. Unfortunately, access to the program is region-limited, so you may not be able to activate it from Argentina.
As far as the purchasing of gift cards, all the sites I've used specifically offer US or EU (or both) gift cards- meaning your region of purchase doesn't matter one bit for the end result. So if your site is different, it may be worth seeing if there are alternative sites available to you that are a bit more mainstream in how they approach such purchases (with your best bet probably being to look towards sites based in the US).
Unfortunately, being the in the US, that's all I can offer on the topic.

Hi. I recently found a job and the pay is through PayPal. There´s a bunch of books I wanted to buy, but since Amazon does not take PayPal I will need to buy a gift card in some other site, but the issue is the ability to redeem those cards based on location/region locks.
I am in Argentina and I want to buy some books from the Amazon US site to be delivered to Argentina (which I´ve done many times before paying with credit/debit cardfs, which I no longer have) but the site I was looking into said that the card could not be redeemed in Argentina. I emailed them explaining the issue but there has been no reply for 2 days now, so I turn to you guys.
Would I be able to redeem an Amazon gift card in US dollars (bought from a third party site) on the Amazon US site if I am located in Argentina?
Thanks in advance.
