Finally got my first Foil, when they are nearly worthless :(

I have 22 games in the card beta that I've gotten all the cards for and still no foils :P

And I still got zero foil . . . no, not Zero foil, but 0 foil. :(

I still haven't got a foil, but I have ended up with so much money off from cards that I can't really complain. I get at least 3 new games a week, just off from some idling. The card system is dying, though. The rare games still make decent money, but most of them are ones that everyone has, so they just aren't worth anything. I'm seeing cards for like ~$.25 USD within half an hour of the new games being announced. The guessing game of which ones to start with is kind of fun, though. Rare, expensive, or rare and expensive.

Of the 31 games in the trading card beta, I have 29 of them (well 30, but I wasn't premium on DOTA2 before the beta) and have gotten every single card from those games. Still no foils :(

At this point I just want to have one so I don't feel like Gabe hates me.

how do you get a foil, actually?
I know about getting cards when you play, but I wouldn't know anything about foils, emoticons etc.

If I could get games to not drop identical cards... 4 Mantis ships from FTL... Lots of dupes.

More interested in trading them to head towards a completed deck than anything else really.

it was horseshit it was ever so expensive in the 1st place... and all these horrible games that get cards zzzzzzzzz.. that whole xp system SUCKS AZZ

I sold my foil card for $17 once ^^

I got 3 so far from Half-Life2, Faerie Solitaire & SS3.

I accidentally sold the Faerie's Plea (Foil) for 40 cents when it was in the $12 range, was kicking myself over that, didn't notice it was a foil.

Still got the Witch-Bride of Achriman which seems to be selling under $2 atm but I listed it for $10 because I have a feeling that foil cards will increase in value later on.

Trade it for tf2 keys and sell the keys at the market.

I don't really understand why some people undercut by several euros when selling the foil cards. I've got 2 foils so far, which I sold for about 3-4€ each.

I won't sell my first Foil for less than 3€ + fees, so if no one will buy it for this price, it'll be forever in my inventory lol.

They're only 2 dollars now? Damn.

2$ is still not bad for a free card you got if you ask me.

None for me yet. Just got all my FTL cards, sold them all for a little bit of cash.

Want an advise? Keep your cards, they are not infinite, so when more people spend their cards doing badges their value will only get higher!
