(I like this question. I can go without the food I'd have bought. Going out... well... it's temporary... the regret there is minimal. Music things... well, they're a luxury like gaming already is (though it would definitely be nice to have a few things I don't yet have). So thankfully, this question helps keep me sane about my game spending! :))

Seriously though, I probably would have spent the money on books, and maybe some art supplies. Considering I already have hundreds and hundreds of books (and no space left on the shelves), maybe me getting back into gaming wasn't a bad idea, ha

For an actual gaming computer rather than the laptop I have now... Although what's the point of a gaming rig without games? And I refuse to pirate!... To a certain extent.

Ha, not much really! I only ever bought games on -75% and in bundles; before Steam I spent in total maybe a second time this, buying only on discounts or with magazines. And I was trying much more demos back then. Now with Steam I can better tell whether I want something or not.

I probably could have afforded an ivy league education.
