SgTools does put some work in the servers too but no one said anything about overloading the servers.
I just said it would imply more load. Don't take that to the extreme.
I did not say the load would be high or that it would make the feature impossible. I just noted a good point and a bad point.

There might be an extension or user script that has this functionality, but i would love to see something that puts out a block on discussion threads.
So, if someone, for example, didn't want to read this, or see this constantly popping up in their discussion list, they could click the new icon and this thread would vanish forever from their front end.
Thoughts on this? Or is there some extension that already does this?
