Oh well, this year would be the first time I partecipate.
Humbly willing to do my part, if allowed.
The tl;dr part was rather scaring, though

why scaring (or scary? ;p), you did read all, didn't you? ;)
in general tl;dr part is for all these lol lvl spammers who just go to recruitment topics and spam all with "invite me pls" without even reading or reseqarching anything only hoping on getting in somewhere and leeching something.

Hello zelgh.
Probably I did some ellipse when I was writing.
It's that I have read everything and I interpreted that tl;dr being more than a simple recap for the lazy guys here around, but a warning of this kind:
"You've read everything and you think you're worth it, but believe me, you are not"
;-)
Well maybe a little too tragi-k, I know, but I liked the sound of it!
Oh, and since I am here, I have the occasion of thanking you for your incredible guide I have used so many times ;-)

I'm interested in doing this again if I made a good impact on the event last time. I might not have quite as much to spare this time, so I was tossing it around in my head whether I should try to ask in the winter, but I can still make a few good giveaways for sure! I'd enjoy another chance, as it was very fun giving so many games out!

make GA good enough that you are sure a lot of people will enter ;) If your Primary GA is owned by let's say 60% of the group already, or is game with bad reviews and then in the end you don't get 1/5 entries - you have only yourself to blame. There are thousands upon thousands of games available on Steam, you could pick a better reviewed, less owned, more wanted one etc.

I would love to take part, I have a couple of ideas for games I would like to give in a group like this.
Thanks for considering me!

I would like to participate.
I've successfully been part of the secret santa group a couple of times. The 1/5th of group members participation requirement has scared me away from these in the past, but I think that I am over that fear now :)

I got my first pink last time, time to try again!

Hello again community!
Some of you may already know what this thread is for, so if you do please skip the introduction part, but read the rest:
Group Introduction
First of all you should know that this is not a new group, it was first created during Chrismas 2012 and since then we've had eight successful events:
The group's stats page can give you a glimpse of that success.
So it is obvious by the repetition pattern, that we operate close and during big Steam Sales. The goal of this group is to gather a certain amount of members that will create unique quality giveaways and share them with the rest. The tricky part is that ALL of those giveaways will end at exactly the same time, regardless of the time zone.
For that to work there are some rules to follow:
It's simpler than it looks, the hardest part is for me and the mods to organize and make sure people follow the rules.
For those that need more details, you should check on the group's profile here.
Also take a look at our Group Rules in Detail and our FAQ.
How to enter the group
What you should also know
What's the group's timeline
(read this if you get to be a member of this group)
This time around I created Steam group calendar events (which still needs to be updated) but the general idea is as follows:
Group Site
Since we started this group I've been using Steam Groups and Spreadsheet to handle the proceedings. One of our members TheTimmaeh is kind enough to trying to take us to the next level of having a site to handle our event. We do our best to have it ready for this event but nothing is certain. If we do, some of our procedures might change but the mods and I will be around to guide you. Participating in our events is considered easy regarding the procedures on your behalf, but hopefully with the new site coming up, it will be made even easier.
Few last words
Our last event had 65 members and 1743 unique giveaways (average of 27 giveaways per member, which means also an average of 27 wins per member). Everyone who entered at least one giveaway won something. Almost everything went smoothly except the fact that a member was kicked for not complying with the rules, but as always I will do my best for things to go as best as possible.
tl;dr
This group is not for you
