I'd be in, but I'm totally broke... Next event I'll apply for sure :)
Edit: Eh, why not, I can still focus on future titles if I run out of money :) Hereby I apply :D

I'll try to get some budget ready for this event, maybe I'll make it before the event is full. Don't mind me tho :D

Well, I never intended to make my efforts a criteria for my participation. I'm doing this whether I'm participating or not, thus I want to contribute to the event in the same way as others do ;)

If you'd have me, I'd love to join this time. Just got off a 2 month work trip away from home and have been cranking up those hours.

It all dawned on her. Santa suddenly realized that all her life - her choices, her mistakes, her interractions... they've all led her towards this path, towards this single moment: towards the strange event that is SimGive.
Hi, Theodore - I would love to participate, as a first time member:).
I realize that there will be some amazing competition for entry. There are so little spots, and so many amazing SG users. I personally am a bit new - I've been around for 6 months only, and, well, I don't really know you oops(;. I haven't made an impact on SG as almighty as some of the other members that I respect greatly, and as other people as well, that I just don't even know:).
There's nothing really impressive about my profile, either. The majority of my giveaways have been bundled - I've made a few events here and there, nothing overly WOW yet. I haven't really joined many groups yet, I've kind of been doing my own thing. (I'm a quiet person, tehe).
I'm kind of picky, too :^). But when I first heard about Simultaneous Giveaways, some months ago, my eyes lit up. Wow! FREE GAMES!!! I'm just kidding! (too late ... and this is how Santa sabotaged her own application in 2 words) - a group of people, with giving spirits. Sharing pieces of your heart and knowing your gifts will go to good individuals. An opportunity to learn, surrounded by awesome people, to challenge myself, and, well, to just have fun.
I know that simply coasting through this event and 'surviving' is not a privilege reserved for first time members. I love to thrive, and challenging myself when I am motivated by something, and Santa giving the very most in a Christmas event is motivating. Seeking out awesome games (I have my ideas, and I can adapt) and working with everyone to make this legendary - I'd really love to not only participate in this event, but also leave a very big, positive mark:)
I've read the rules and FAQs and everything, some time ago. I've re-read them now. I think I understand how it works. I learn fast, anyway (;
A holiday event, a Santa ... >winks winks< you only need to unleash me

I'm happy I can say I was part of SimGive event one time :3
I hope I'll get a chance to be a part of it again when I apply next time. Right now, I'm not in good situation and can't afford it but I might come to chat from time to time :)

The thing about SimGive is, having stuff "ready to go" doesn't often work in your favor. It's best to be flexible.

like Timmy and doc said - having stuff prepared can end up bad for you. Reservation phase is a bloodbath - hundreds of games gets taken in matter of minutes, there's been cases in the past when people had like 20+ unique games prepared for reservations but were too slow and ALL their prepared GAs end up taken from them. Best is to prepare spare money/wallet and look for sth that group wants but what was not reserved yet.

Or concentrate on really unique stuff, like titles that are not available yet (and thus you don't need the budget YET) and which only a few people know about :P
You risk to get only very few entries, but with my lists I think we managed to make the most out of every giveaway, that didn't get added a few days before end.

Hello again community!
Some of you may already know what this thread is for, so if you do please skip the introduction part, but read the rest:
Group Introduction
First of all you should know that this is not a new group, it was first created during Chrismas 2012 and since then we've had eight successful events:
The group's stats page can give you a glimpse of that success.
So it is obvious by the repetition pattern, that we operate close and during big Steam Sales. The goal of this group is to gather a certain amount of members that will create unique quality giveaways and share them with the rest. The tricky part is that ALL of those giveaways will end at exactly the same time, regardless of the time zone.
For that to work there are some rules to follow:
It's simpler than it looks, the hardest part is for me and the mods to organize and make sure people follow the rules.
For those that need more details, you should check on the group's profile here.
Also take a look at our Group Rules in Detail and our FAQ.
How to enter the group
What you should also know
What's the group's timeline
(read this if you get to be a member of this group)
This time around I created Steam group calendar events (which still needs to be updated) but the general idea is as follows:
Group Site
Since we started this group I've been using Steam Groups and Spreadsheet to handle the proceedings. One of our members TheTimmaeh is kind enough to trying to take us to the next level of having a site to handle our event. We do our best to have it ready for this event but nothing is certain. If we do, some of our procedures might change but the mods and I will be around to guide you. Participating in our events is considered easy regarding the procedures on your behalf, but hopefully with the new site coming up, it will be made even easier.
Few last words
Our last event had 65 members and 1743 unique giveaways (average of 27 giveaways per member, which means also an average of 27 wins per member). Everyone who entered at least one giveaway won something. Almost everything went smoothly except the fact that a member was kicked for not complying with the rules, but as always I will do my best for things to go as best as possible.
tl;dr
This group is not for you
