Probably the first holiday in a long time that I wont buy anything from Steam. Maybe because of the backlog but also because the sales simply aren't that enticing anymore.
I find better deals throughout the year elsewhere. Steam simply refuses to compete with outside competitors when it comes to deals on games. It's been that way for years now.

I've seen some Chinese bundle threads popping up here, but the Steam store prices are already much cheaper than they were when my account had the U.S. region, so I haven't looked around much here. A wishlist game like Planet Coaster shows up as around US$4.60 on the store, so maybe it's hard for anything to compete? Not sure.
I wish I had picked up a few things before I changed though, like older Final Fantasies, since most don't pop up in the Chinese store. I've found some for sale on Taobao, which is like eBay on roids, and they're cheaper than the Steam store. Maybe that's as close as it gets to GMG?
