Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Fantastic story, animation, music, and English dubbing.

Here's a list of recommendations for those who like FMA:B
Hunter x Hunter (2011) is the closest to that you'll get and my personal favorite, it's great for binge watching ;D

Well i'm not sure if this is related to any of your posted animes, but Death Note is my absolute favorite

The ones you mention are in my to-watch list, but I can recommend Sword Art Online, you can watch it online for free at http://www.crunchyroll.com/sword-art-online.

I could see Ga Rei Zero, Gokukoku no Brynhildr, Mirai Nikki, (kinda)Shiki and Another, Btooom, Deadman Wonderland and even Tokyo Ghoul(with the whiny bitch) see fit in in there.
I'm not saying they are all stellar, but they should cover the genres you are looking for.

Gokukoku no Brynhildr is amazing. Btooom! is also fantastic. I found the manga by mistake and thought it was gonna be bad, but it's really graphic and has a pretty good story. Just annoyed since it feels like the manga is kinda being stretched to sell more.

Yeah, stretching of Mangas and Anime to earn more with less effort(still pretty much to make a living) is not so uncommon, the entire Deadman Wonderland Anime is just an advertisement for the Manga, the Anime could have been far better. :/
Btw, you remembered me, that I should pick up the Btooom! Manga again, I dropped it just because I waited for new releases and forgot about it.

It's pretty good. The current arc is pretty good and there's another psycho with the MC. The funny part is how most of these characters are either gamers, older adults that don't do anything or lazy fucks and yet they can do all this jumping and throwing and shit. Still great manga. If you want a really good story read Pandora Hearts. It's amazing.

Haha, NEET's and fat old lazy fucks combined with Anime logic.
In Anime you become super athletic or even get super powers with this lifestyle, however in real life you may become a magician, which is still nice. ;)
Great recommendations btw.
I watched the Pandora Hearts Anime and loved nearly everything about it (the ending was odd and I know why) and so did a friend, he began to read the Manga and told me how super-duper great it was, BUT he also told me it takes ages till they release another book and that quenched me to buy and read it. The Manga is going for like 10 years, I think. xD
But the Manga is coming to a close, so I may start it after I watched all the Anime I began.(life's too short to enjoy all this stuff)
Maybe they will even do a second season then. :<

Pandora hearts hasn't been going on for 10 years. Only like 9. And that's because it isn't a weekly chapter release it's a monthly one and I think the writer took some time off. Still it's on chapter 102 and worth a read since it's fantastic. Same with tokyo ghoul.

the brynhildr anime is super messy, since while the anime ending worked out roughly the same as the end of the Valkyrie arc, the anime cut out all the parts that would make the last minute or two of the ending actually make sense
about the same thing happened, just offscreen with absolutely no attempt to explain it whatsoever.
also cut out some stuff like the hilariously badass wtf part with Kana

Dark and bloody? Tokyo Ghoul is great and they just finished uncensoring it. Akame Ga Kill is literally about 2 groups of assassins trying to kill each other. Sadly the anime follows the manga all the way up till around episode 19 or 20. At this point the anime was farther than the manga so they did their own thing after that. Tokyo Ghoul's manga is much better, but the show is still really good. The second season just started on friday or saturday so you can watch that and start on the second one. The second season won't follow the manga since the mangaka stated that he had 2 possible paths for the story to go along and he's going with the one that's not in the manga for the show.
Kiseijuu is maybe the best show to come out in 2014. Really bloody, uncensored and just fucking amazing. Worth watching.

The main reason this happened was because the author put in filler chapters randomly and for 2 or 3 releases they were just filler and extra back story on some of the dead characters so the anime ended up catching up. This made the studio have to make up their own story because they couldn't follow the manga anymore. Still the manga is better.

Nah its darkish and have some blood, but it is an awesome anime, one of my favorites, i hope you didnt started the new season that came out a week ago and skip the other 3 seasons :P

I love RAVE but unfortunately, the anime lasts until the 51st episode only.

Witch Hunter Robin is somewhat similar to Darker than Black - maybe give that a try.
I quite enjoyed Blue Gender. The English dub for that one is very good - it's the only anime I can think of where I found the English better than the Japanese voice acting.
Soul Eater is good fun to watch, but not as broody as those you listed.

Find Naoki Urasawa's Monster. What it lacks in blood, it makes up in dark.
Knights of Sidonia (currently Netflix eclusive) also works if you're into sci-fi stuff.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - don't let the colorful art fool you, this gets bloody regularly and pretty dark at times too.
If live-action series are an option, also try GARO. ( Italian trailer )

Didn't realize there was an animated version. Somehow missed that the franchise got expanded by a lot after the 2nd movie, looks like I'll need to get back to it.

And a random one in case you happen to be into boxing: Hajime no Ippo

Great choices.SSY is my personal favorite of all time. Monster is in my list, I enjoyed Shiki a lot, Kaiji looks interesting, never saw Jojo but hear alot about it, enjoyed Bahamut, just finished Ayakashi and moving on to Mononoke very soon, and Berserk was great, and couldn't have heard enough about Ippo, haven't seen yet though.

I'm looking for a series in the same vein as Fate/Zero, Darker Than Black, and Psycho-Pass. I would prefer English dubbed but that's not a necessity.
Thanks in advance to anybody who answers!
