For 2D stuff, Flash is the easiest I've ever worked with.

Traditional 2D: http://plasticanimationpaper.dk/ (if you don't have a pen tablet, it will probably be difficult)

for me 3d studio max was best and easiest to manage, learn, and work with. Although maya is more advanced but harder to learn.

I've been using Maya for a couple years now. In my opinion its the best tool for 3D. However there is a big price tag on it unless you wanna get a trial key or pirate it (dont pirate it). Id say you're best of with Blender, I've never used it myself so i cant say how it is. But hey, its free!

And I need you to recommend me good animation software. (Any animation software, like for 3D or sprite animation)
