What ev said. That'd be great to know what happened... I don't know her personally but she seemed to be an asset to the community. I've seen a few people on the trading part of steamgifts who have pretty much scammed other traders and yet they still have their accounts... in my book, that calls for a permaban and if they are still around, I really wonder what Keeper has done to deserve the banhammer. O_o

Perm ban for someone of level 8? This is hard to believe... I wonder what happened...
Edit: There are three things that call for perm ban: "Misuse of Giveaway Feedback", "Scamming Users" and "Using Multiple Accounts". It's hard to believe someone who spent so much money on SG and has so many games on Steam account would do any of those things. But hey, it's not like it's impossible. After all, we don't know anyone even in 10% as we think we do and that's basically a fact which we just tend to forget :)

The multiple accounts seems most likely to me as well, given the family element and her high level of activity on Steam. I'm saddened by this like most everyone else here. I enjoyed the discussions I had with her, and her replies were always very thoughtful and VERY thorough. If I had to pick one person I'd expect to "write a book" for a post reply, Keeper would be it. I often felt like my replies were inadequate because I was much more brief, but she kept replying anyways. :(

Last I was aware of you can request a permaban and be given one. It has happened before (not saying this is the case just another possibility).

My intial thought was that she was going on vacation and asked for a perma ban in the meantime so we would open a discussion and speculate for a week. On a serious note, why would a person ask for a perma ban instead of deleting their account?

You can't delete a SG account, i think, but if she wanted to leave, there was no reason to ask for a ban, if that was the reason.

I've been a moderator on sites in the past where members have asked to be banned to stop them from coming back on and getting caught in the time sink they were in before.
Sometimes, when real life needs your attention and you have friends and and a community you value, it's hard to walk away from it. I don't know if that's what is going on here, but I have seen it in the past.

Probably the best thing to do is to contact her yourself, if you really want to know the details. Only she, and the SG support team will know the reason for the ban, and it's unlikely that Support will be eager to discuss individual cases in the forums.

This surprises and saddens me. All my interactions with her have been very positive, and from all I've seen she has been a tremendous boon to the SteamGifts community. It makes me call into question the permaban process.

I think most of us has. I think he hasn't messaged a SINGLE person in, like, three months since his disappearance. He's one of my best friends, and it's just completely unlike him to just stop talking to everyone who ares about him. I remember a few days before he left, he said he'll be busy the next day, but he never came back. And it shows that he's been on Steam, but nobody's heard from him. I really miss my Llama :/

I don't know her too well but there's always the possibility that she requested her account to be deleted/suspended from the site however implausible that may seem. Either way, I'm sure she can work it out with support if it's a misunderstanding.

I was just browsing through SG people's profiles to build up my original whitelist after my last event and the temporary one when I stumbled upon KeeperOfMonsters' profile and discovered that "permabanned" tag.
I'm shocked!!
The last post from her was 17 hours ago, so this is still fresh it seems. I always noticed her as a very valuable and active member of our lovely community here. I can't believe this. She can't even say goodbye. Anyone else sharing that feeling?
