Sites like this will compare two lists. Paste my Have on one side, your Want on the other, press Compare, and the games I have that you want are shown on the bottom right corner.

So maybe a button on each trade thread which automatically made this comparison. It could compare the Want of the thread being viewed to the Have of the user's open trades.

Its about the trade section, the option to compare what you have with what I want and viceversa would be much easier.

Aye, could have been more clear. What he meant is that basically, the trading section of Steamgifts lacks a proper "pair up" tool, which would automatically display trading threads relevant to both what you have in your trading thread, and to what you want.

Dunno if you ever used TF2 Outpost, but they did something similar. http://www.tf2outpost.com/matches

Anyway, Steamgifts did implement such a tool but only for one game at a time. As a result, finding something that "really" suits you can be rather time consuming.

Took a look at tf2outpost, it seems to be for trading items but not games. If that's wrong and you can trade games too, please let me know.

Anyway, Steamgifts did implement such a tool but only for one game at a time.

Searching Have and Want separately is a very nice touch compared to other forums. But yeah, it seems to only eliminate a little of the work.

I'm pretty sure it works for games too, so long as they are in your inventory. :)

Trading keys however is a bannable offense there.

I see, thanks.

Almost all my tradable games are bundle keys/gifts, so no tf2outpost or /r/steamgameswap for me.

Sadly, you need barter.vg to do that. The trade section here is still considered to be some sort of a stepchild. Frankly, it'd be easier if more people migrated to barter.vg. With its possible semi-automation, you could filter out a lot of stupid offers before they could be made.

Barter is nice. After giving up on trading I recently used Barter for a few trades and had a very positive experience. It's a great complement to the Monthly Humble bundle, especially when the early unlock is unappealing (as in next month's bundle).
