Not applying since I'm way off the mark, but I do have a few (legitimate, not rhetoric "waaah, why aren't you letting me in?") questions regarding the 50%/25% rule. I know you aren't looking for bare minimums, but still I think there's a few edge cases, which, while smoothed out by an attempted 100% of played wins, could potentially add up for players with bad luck:
What happens with games with harder than average to earn achievements, even moreso those that are post-campaign challenges? For a couple of concrete examples:
Furthermore, what happens with games with no achievements? Those can make up a non-trivial amount of people's wins and they shouldn't get less love for it.
Shouldn't there be some sort of "grace period" between dipping below the minimum and getting kicked? It's entirely possible (albeit not probable, I know) to have remarkable streak of luck on SG and suddenly find yourself with plenty of new games on your hands.
But not to be a sourpuss, let me tell you about my favorite SG win. The Binding of Isaac (classic, with DLC) is a really lovely game. It's pretty hard at first, but as you collect more and more items and you learn the meta, it becomes a challenging but still very enjoyable experience. It's not perfectly balanced with several moments of bad luck killing or at least severely hampering runs, but it still keeps getting you back for more.

You are correct on your points. The whole achievement thing is not very fortunate since we in no way want to encourage achievement hunting from anyone who doesn't want it. Definitely non-achievement games should get the same care.
But when it comes to evaluating whether a person regards gifted to them games with care or not, the best we can do is taking all the data available in consideration.
I would like to stress our take on what we are looking for. Beating wins, exploring the game content in any (legit) way which the person wants and hereby enjoys the most. Simple as that. If this looks fine, then there is only a question of how big part of wins has already been taken care of. If it seems that there is not enough compared to our borderline, a person can just play more and reapply. I believe everyone can do this.
Yes, a person who doesn't care of unlocking extra achievements or going extra mile to anyhow demonstrate that they have beaten the games may (not necessarily though) need to beat more wins for their playing to be evident for us, but there is nothing bad in this. And after this is done, they are in.
Same comes to any "unfortunate wins", broken games, beaten games with few achievements, rare cases like steam achievements being added after the game was beaten and so on. If a game will never be beaten for a reason, or will never be recognized as beaten by a script, just continue playing and enjoying other wins and eventually you will be fine. Our absolute minimal requirements are already at such a low point where everything which does not conform with "beating" notion will not create permanent blocks and will become less and less noticeable when continuing playing and winning.
About winning "a lot" in a short time.
It is always the choice of the person whether they want to keep participating in more GAs when they have already lately won games which they can't play yet.
This is also a choice whether a group member prefers to beat more wins first to always be far away from the minimal requirements and never bother dealing with scripts and all this :) I recommend. Everyone knows better how much they can play or how often they normally win good games. Maybe it is good to strive for only the best games if there is not much time to play?
Then there is always an option to temporarily leave the group if you have problems playing games recently but want to continue winning for some reason. Later when problems are dealt with and wins are played, it will be simple to return to the group.
Simply being more mindful, more responsible here and there.
Oh, I have a friend who's favourite game is The Binding of Isaac. I played the game for a while too, unlocked some characters and items and can totally understand how it can be engaging, but the game somehow didn't grow on me. Maybe I am too bad at it, I have no recollection of ever beating the game :D

Got a question for you. When I first joined this site, I entered a lot of giveaways, not necessarily just ones I was interested in. I made lots of giveaways too--I'm level 6. Would these be held against me, or would it be possible to go forward being judged on my only recent win, from 3 years ago? I played it for a similar group and quite enjoyed it.

Sounds funny. Speaking your words, your old gifts will be held against you :3 No rest for the wicked!
Come on you have only few wins, and maybe some of these are nice games. Also going through old stuff normally gives more order for future.

Fair enough lol Dungetris should already qualify I think, I'd just have to get on the other 9.

Hello, I want to join the group. At the moment I have won 6 games, 2 of them have already been completed, 1 is in progress and I aim to go through the rest, since I only enter giveaways of those games that are really interesting to me. It is difficult to say which of the games I like the most, since they are truly hits of their time.
Just Cause 2 is my first entry into the series, and the huge scale of the island where the events take place is really amazing, and it is a separate pleasure to feel like the real cause of misfortune for its dictator and his loyal army.
The next game was Warhammer 40000: Space Wolf, and there is everything is a little more complicated... On the one hand I really wanted to try, on the other hand, the game itself was not very friendly, somewhere lazily done and sometimes lacking of ideas, but the very fact of each victory really pleased, so the overall impression of the passed campaign remained positive.
Now I'm going through Tomb Raider, and it's hard to say something - this is a real hit of its time, which did not have time to become obsolete, and I am happily running through the story.

You are doing great, and you were very lucky with wins indeed.
From the games you mentioned I have completed myself only Tomb Raider and in my opinion this reboot was awesome. (A bit of disappointment though that 2 following games were just "more of the same" and at some moments overstayed my welcome, but these were still quite good).
However as we noted on our Steam group page, from a person with less than 10 wins we wish to see more than a half of wins beaten upon joining, preferably all of them. Don't hurry, please play these at your most enjoyable pace and lets continue the application later :)

Hello again, i'm still have less than 10 wins, but i already beaten all but one games from my list. (Not that i do not want to play last one too, but it is just hard to play few racing non-arcade games without delay). Can i join the group now or need to try harder?

Hi. I'd like to join. I've never won a game yet though o_O

Alright ! I'll leave a comment once I've beaten it :)

We can not invite you in near future.
We don't have to know everything about your accounts and circumstances, but for now we can not be certain about anything. This can change in a long run.
Welcome to SG, good luck with wins and have fun with games!

Greetings, soyalp104.
Unfortunately at the moment you don't meet our minimum requirements (we'd like to see at least half wins finished at the recruitment stage), so we can't accept you. But you can re-apply later, once you improve your statistics of finished SG wins.
Thanks.

Hello! I would love to reapply! I made a post one week ago but it's well hidden! https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/DNb5R/pm-playing-matters-a-group-for-people-who-play-their-wins/search?page=4#Guxt1SN

Hi.
Right, you have been playing a bit of this and that and increased the script results over the minimum of what we require. However, having had a closer look at the wins and their playing, we can see that too big fraction of wins with 25%+ of achievements unlocked is not beaten, and partly also rushed to the "unlocking" point at the same time. Also percentage is disproportionally weighted more on shorter wins, which would normally mean that we would require more playing, but this is not the point atm.
From some angles of view it could look reasonable that playing a game a bit is better than not touching it at all, can not completely relate. But we try to stress in our group info that this is definitely not what we are looking for in our new and existing group members.
This is a matter of different ways, approaches, cultures developed by ourselves. At the moment our intents are not correlated strongly enough.

That is simply not the case, and your 'investigation' should reveal that. As much as possible I try to complete games (even games without achievements), many of them over 100 hours playtime.
I give away lots of games, this group seemed like a nice group to funnel a lot of my giveaways towards.
A shame that your conclusion is that our intends don't align, and that you almost seem distrustful. I wish you the best of luck with Playing Matters.

Hello, can I join the group? I've read requirements and Rules & Guidelines.

Hello, I'd like to join the group.
As for my favourite win, that would be Europa Universalis IV, I've always liked strategy games, even if I'm not very good at them, and this being my first foray into the grand strategy genre made for a very enjoyable experience, I'll have to come back to this game at some point, honourable mentions go to: Rain World and Nairi: Tower of Shirin.

hello, I would like to join, I think the stats are all right
My favorite win would definetivly be Terraria, I've even later bought extra copies to play with family and friends
with an honorable mention of Marlow Briggs, wich turned out to be a much fun hidden gem

Understandable. And group is not looking for achievement hunting. Absolute majority of games upon beating unlocks more than 25% of achievements naturally; majority of games even more than half of achievements. Rare games can be beaten with less that a quarter of achievements popping up naturally, and mostly this is countered by our minimal threshold of "unlocked games" being as low as only half of wins at the moment.
The other "half" is not for games to not touch. This is for all the rare and gray cases as broken games, games with achievements added to Steam at a late date, games where devs made bad job on achievement unlocking mechanism or made their achievements unreal, games where you need a whole walk-through per each achievement and so on. Plus there needs to be a buffer for winning games while still playing some long wins.
Ideally we wish to see our members giving a good try to beating every their win. Of course, this may not result in script showing 100% of wins with 25% of achievements unlocked, no one asks for that, this is normal :)
Regarding your application - what can you say about Dead Hungry Diner game? Can't see it on your account.

Also achievments have gotten easier with time (appart from those games taht give you 1024 just for running them). One of the games I have had for ages is Trials 2, and those are really hard to get..
Dead Hungry dinner was a game mistekenly redeemed in my son's account back in the day before family sharing existed and already got my temporal suspension for that
I do have 2 of 11 (18%) achievements earned but I think it cannot be seen in my profile

Oh, any not activated win is easy to "fix" with another key, there has probably been a lot of discounts and will be too.
I see that this case is old and it was more of mistake than actual offense, and that mass giveaway creator in no way can care of what happened to each separate key they got/generated for low to no expense, however I wound ask if you considered buying this at some cheap price to clear up your SG account =_=

Is there a problem if a user hasnt won any giveaways (like me :) )?

Hello, I would like to join the group.
My favourite win would be definitively "A Hat in Time": I enjoyed the overall atmosphere, the story line, the level design and the mobility of the character.
Also, I would like to mention "GRIS" a truly beautiful and emotional game.

I apply for the group. I liked Vampire Corteries of New York the most. Although the game ending and replayability were lackluster, it was my introduction to novel games and the drawing art style with the intense soundtracks kept me immersed while playing it, so it was quite a nice experience. Besides, I'm a fan of The Masquerade franchise.

Yeah I'm aware I completely screwed up my profile in the first years of my SG life.. and there is no coming back now, no matters what I do. But at least I wanted to try to play as most games I can from that list and reach a better result, not for joining this group (that would be too much at this point), but for my personal satisfaction.
Thank you anyway for the help! I didn't realized the script is only working in the win page in SG. ;-)

Nah I won't partecipate much in SG Discussions for a while, because every time I post in a thread, people check my profile and blacklist me... like I got 2 blacklist just for posting here (until now, there is still time xD). But it's not their fault, they have their own good reasons I guess. I'll just use BLAEO for now, thank you again! :)
