EA is a mafia, closed westwood and others good companys.
They work of this way:
"In August 1998, Westwood was acquired by Electronic Arts for $122.5 million in cash. At the time, Westwood had 5% to 6% of the PC game market.[1] In response to EA's buyout, many long-time Westwood employees quit and left Westwood Studios. Because of this and EA's newly imposed demands, games being developed by Westwood Studios at the time were rushed and left unfinished upon their release, namely Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun.[3] All the subsequent games developed by Westwood were also heavily subjected to increased control by Electronic Arts, with some of them being cancelled.
Along with Westwood, EA had also acquired Virgin Interactive's development studio based in Irvine, California.[1] It was managed by Westwood and became known as Westwood Pacific, and later EA Pacific. Westwood Pacific developed or co-developed games like Nox and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, which takes place in an alternate universe to that of the original title Command & Conquer. One of the last games released by Westwood, Command & Conquer: Renegade (an action game, which mixed elements from first-person shooters and real-time strategy games) failed to meet consumer expectations and commercial goals Electronic Arts had set for it. In March 2003, Westwood Studios (along with EA Pacific) was liquidated by EA, and all willing staff were assimilated into EA Los Angeles."

They ruined the Mass Effect series as well and pretty much own BioWare now, what a shame.

Yeah, that five minute ending that wasn't as good as it could have been ruined the hundreds of hours I'd played before hand. Fuck EA.

And this is why using Wikipedia as a source, is not always a good idea.
While it is technically true, it is a heavily coloured statement.
Of course C&C Red Alert 2 is set in a different univers than the Original C&C. The original C&C is set in the Tiberium Universe, while Red Alert 2 is set in.... The Red Alert universe! What a surprise there!
Red Alert was the first game in that series, and that was before EA acquired Westwood.
I don't know what purpose exactly it serves to have that line in the wikipedia article, except for implying somehow that that studio created something 'untrue to the series' or something along those lines. While the universe itself was actually created by the original Westwood.

Sounds like some blame could also be placed on Google since they allowed EA to pull that sort of nonsense.

I swear to Christ, everyone wants change, but no one is willing to do anything about it! (That wasn't directed at you, I'm just ranting) We need everyone to stop buying EA's games, or else they will always be able to get away with this. They don't care about us, they care about our money, and if we want to stop them, then we need to hit them where it hurts most; their wallets.

True dat!
Solution right here, folks! Don't buy their shit! Don't even buy anything from them! (Origin 3rd party titles)
Buy them on Steam instead.

The last time I bought an EA game was in the Humble Origin Bundle

+1, stopped to buy them 2 years ago. PPl, at least stop buying games on ORIGIN, that will hurts them a lot.

So long as they make money, they will continue to turn a blind eye to facts. After all, they still haven't overturned certain parts of the Origin EULA that is causing people to refuse to use their platform. When researching how well Origin was received, they cited that there were just as many origin-users as there were old EADM users... neglecting to mention (or realise) that all old accounts were automatically transferred. These kinds of machines can't be reasoned with, and so long as there are people who don't google gaming news and are willing to eat up every full-priced thing they release, EA won't really change their ways.

"they cited that there were just as many origin-users as there were old EADM users... neglecting to mention (or realise) that all old accounts were automatically transferred."
Don't think Hanlon's razor applies, here ;). It was simply EA wanting to act as if Origin was less of a failure than it was. Out of curiosity - what parts of the EULA / ToS are you referring to? :)

The f-word is a joke on my behalf. Not a funny one, though.
And here's the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt9LWgua5QY

No, but youtube can, and they have a track record for bending over backwards and doing really dumb stuff on behalf of random individuals/companies. Depending on how long ago the video was uploaded, it wouldn't surprise me too much. Remember a few years back they just muted all audio on a video if it had more than a few seconds of copyrighted backing music to it?

My backup method was to fill the kitchen with wooden furniture and have my Sim cook and piss in one spot until the tables were lit on fire. I've only played the first Sims game and quickly discovered that wasn't my cup of tea. It quickly devolved into an Asshole Simulator, where I encouraged my Sim to be the laziest, most ill-behaved bastard, who would invite neighbors over to be killed by some Evil Overlord in the pool and kitchen, and once the Evil Overlord tired of killing his neighbors, would then kill him.

Pools will come in time. First the holes DLC, then the water DLC, then pool tiles DLC, and finally pool ladder DLC.
After you buy them all for a low combined price of $40, you will be able to construct a pool (although you will need to purchase the yes I can swim!!! DLC for $15 in order to actually use the pool).

There are a plethora of reasons to hate EA. Do a little of your own opinion forming and research (along with some independant critical thought), before trying to shut others down. There are enough comments here with entirely valid points made and argumentation backing them up - aside from the say-nothing "fuck EA" comments - for starters.

from the time i started pc gaming,i'm pirating literally every EA game title, and i've been a pc gamer from SNES era,,,

nice job! Let's boycott EA and maybe they'll become bankrupt finally
Comment has been collapsed.
Boycotting only works if there is a halt in consumption and purchase. It's not really a boycott unless you're unified against it, and there will always be an army of gamers to devour their products no matter what they do. People were all too willing to overlook the Origin EULA, so I wouldn't hold your breath for them to have any moments of awakening any time soon.

Isn't the joke that everyone who purchase an EA game is a pirate? Because the pirated copy versions are the only ones that work properly?

What's the big deal with saying FUCK is it against the rules or something?? Also, EA shit company, what did you expect?
Comment has been collapsed.
A lot of the things people get upset at EA for are the same things done by other companies (e.g. Activision).
Just saying...

Could it be that you uploaded the wrong video in the first place, and never checked until now?

No, couldn't possibly be from people who just didn't find it funny. Gotta be those damn bootlicking fanboys!!
See, this is what makes me laugh about the anti-EA brigade. You're just as goddamn stubborn and ignorant on the subject as the fanboys you complain about.

EA are not affiliated the government, and EA cannot do anything they like when one of their products is mentioned, unless enabled by a more relevant authority to do so. If I say the words "Battlefield four!" sat in my own home, EA can't come into my house and force me to recite an advertisement for their latest product. :V
Comment has been collapsed.
Then by comparison, this forum would be the equivalent of a public street, with lots of people listening in. That still doesn't mean EA has the legal capacity (nor the means) to come and edit your posts just because you said the name of their products. Owning a copyright doesn't give you the power to dictate the common usage of words nor the discussion of the products.

Pretty much, youtube is going to get to the stage of pissing off too many of their users they will just jump onto an alternative.

I have experienced another one: Uploaded a Team Rocket motto video on Youtube with some basic graphical frames on it. Somehow, they have black curtains right now. I don't know why, they might be fonts or Pokéball picture on the right top corner.

So, you expect us to believe you, when you have lost the original copy, or proof of it ever actually existing?
Could you perhaps tell us why you recently changed the name of the video to "Battlefield 4 parody", when it used to be "Battlefield 4 in a nutshell"?
Could you perhaps tell us why you appear to have your channel claimed by Activision?
Or is it simply that you want more views on your youtube now, since this video is now your most viewed video yet?

The title might be no surprise because it's a common set of words or, shortly, a sentence.
Almost a year ago, I made a Battlefield 4 parody video which showcases the trailer with a lot of Battlefield Premium advertisements and even more explosions than usual.
Little did I know, this day I decided to revisit all my old videos for whatever reason and while I was watching the video stated above I noticed something, something that is lacking there. Stupid me not putting my finger on it realizes, a few moments later that video which I worked so hard on, was replaced with the original trailer the parody was based upon, with no edits.
Also, I would like to note that I have NO partnership of any kind on Youtube.
TL;DR, EA are still stupid f-words and totally against freedom of speech.
Welp, even TotalBuiscuit tweeted about this https://twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/483639731872616448
