Dungeon Defenders, failed to connect to TrendyNet

So basically as the title says, i am unable to connect to ranked mode on Dungeon Defenders, it tries to connect for about a second and then says "Failed to connect to TrendyNet." i can still play on online open mode.
Just wondering if there's anyway to check if i'm banned, or if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

I've done a lot of trades with other players, it's possible i've been sold hacked items.

Let's get the obvious out of the way. Is your game updated? Have you checked the forum to see if Trendynet is down for some reason? Did you do anything recently to change your connection settings (IE, new antivirus or firewall blocking Trendynet)? Have you verified integrity? Has anyone else had this issue on the Steam or DD forum? Have you checked your spam folder for a message from them? Have you tried logging in from a different computer?

Okay, my game is up to date. I've checked the forums to see if trendy is down, (It isn't) i haven't changed my connection, I've even tried disabling my firewall and anti virus, still doesn't work. I've verified integrity of game cache several times. i'm pretty sure no one else is having this problem. i have received no emails. my friend just
signed into my account from his computer and tried, he says it worked. (He can play on ranked)

He signed into your account and it worked? That's good. It means that you're not banned since they'd ban your account, not just your IP. Are you on college internet and your friend isn't? They may have changed port settings or something. Have you tried other online games? Do they work?

Is your ping ridiculously high? Maybe your internet's running just too slow for DD. Was there a recent update, and if so, have you played fine after installing the update? Maybe something's not playing right with your hardware. If nothing works, I'd recommend giving it a few hours to make sure the problem's not on Trendy's end.

And i've been having this problem for a few days so i don't think it's their fault

I had this problem and fixed it by googling stuff. You have to add something in on the launch data or sumin on steam.
